wow that sucks, border restrictions are really tight these days, the same thing would have happend if he was canadian trying to get into the states with all that stuff.
Very Unfortunate, i guess everyone has to do there homework, and really make sure you got things in order, espically when it come to buisness when dealing with the border. Obusivly he is harmless but the border guys don;t see it that way.

The border doesn't even treat people with respect anymore. That really pisses me off, i've had my experiences with the border patrol, and they too were ASSHOLES! They act as if everything you tell them is a lie. Fuck them! It's only going to get worse and worse.
The solution is to do away with the Canadian border and form one country.
