Buying Jigs?

Is there any way to buy mounting jigs? I really don't want to pay 30 bucks to get my skis mounted. I know how to do it, I just need a jig.

Only authorized dealers can get them. They dont come cheap either, some run about 100 dollars.

I don't want to pay 300 bucks for new skis after I hack them to shit trying to mount them in my basement, so I'll send them to the shop

or you could just practice on old shitty skis from good will and learn how to do stuff on your own. I'm re-mounting my PEs in my basment with a cordless drill, some epoxy and that good ole know how saves me 30 bucks and i know i can do a better job than the shop

Yeah jigs are damn expensive, like up to 250 dollars. And you would have to stay with the same brand of bindings for it to be worth it. Just take you skis to the shop. It's not that expensive and they test your bindings when they mount the skis. That way they make sure they are functioning properly.

I have a few extra soly jigs, but theyd probally cost you more than youd end up savign with them, plus if you dont know how to buy jigs, you probally wont know how to use them properly to. It takes experiance and practice to get good at it so you wont screw up he skis, plus you have to get the special drill bits for mounting hte bindings too

^ I already know how to mount skis, I worked in a shop for 2 years. Also, I have mounted my own skis without a jig before. It just took a long time to get everything all lined up and shit. It would be nice to just slap a jig on there and drill the holes.

mounting skis with a jig is super easy, but definately not something u wanna learn to do on a new pair of skis. When i learned, i mounted a bunch of throwaway used demo skis..just remounted them, after 5 pair, it was like riding a bike. The jig and bit keep u from drilling too far, ect

just dont learn on new skis, haha

some things i just leave to the shop...... i can wax and tune on my own, but i let the shop do my preseason tune for the binding check and edge grind, if needed.

mounting bindings is one of those things that you just let the shop do. no matter what. that way, you can blame them if the screw it up.
