Anyone else stoked on the state of hip-hop right now?

Like teh realz hip hop though, for srs. Also searchbar was used, as far as I am aware there isn't a thread like this as of right now. If there is, I am sorry but the searchbar blows

Redman says he's got Muddy Waters 2 coming up soon.
Ghost said there are 2 possible LP's on the horizon, Supreme Clientele 2 and Blue & Cream, plus Apollo Kids came out in December.
Raekwon has Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang in March coming out.
Apathy is supposed to drop Honkey Kong in April (I believe).
Celph Titled dropped 1990-Now in 2010, that was a pretty sick album. Produced with a bunch of unreleased Buckwild beats from the 90's.
I believe there is going to be some sort of DJ Premier vs. Pete Rock album, that should be great.
Talib Kweli's Gutter Rainbow coming soon.
Hopefully Nas' Lost Tapes 2 is going to show up soon, and hopefully isn't a letdown when it does.
And this was on GZA's twitter (as gay as that sounds) "This project will have a visual and audio element. In a league of it's own. Taking it up a notch before we get Liquid Swords 2 in motion. NOT Liquid Swords 2. Not yet." So 2 possible albums from GZA, one of them being Liquid Swords 2.

Overall a big fuck yea from me, how about you NS? Any info you have on anything going on in the world of hip hop is much appreciated, you can never have too much music.

So for all the people trying to differentiate between rap and hip hop, here it is:

Hip hop is a genre, like rock, metal, pop, or any other genre you can think of.
Rap is a vocal styling, it's like singing, it's effecting your voice in a specific way to make music. It is not a genre.

First things first: Shaolin vs Wu is pretty decent, but the songs are all so damn short. Rock n Roll is 5 something minutes only cause of the crazy long hook (which I should add is one of the times when people actually use autotune to make it sound cool). I like Rich and Black the most right now but apparently Nas' first verse is recycled (I have never heard it before so I can still like it) and his "2nd verse" is like 3 lines long.




Also I know I am a little obsessed with Ap right now, but he is a sick producer and a lyrical monster:

Pretty decent = decent for now, still a pretty big disappointment

Autotune that sounds good = only in the whip, gets pretty old on the iPod

Rich and Black the most = haven't listened to Silver Rings enough because it is so much better but just so damn short

I actually can't wait for Honkey Kong anymore holy shit. It is going to be on some crazy Illmatic level



Also Outerspace's (Planetary and Crypt the Warchild from AOTP) Blood and Ashes was an underground classic and they have another album My Brother's Keeper coming late August.
