Replying to Better carving park ski?
I have k2 disorderlys and although they do carve ok, I think I want something that carves a little better after using some icelantic shamans today. i'm sure the carving ability of a ski is a combination of sidecut, flex, radius and whatnot, and probably the fact that they're symmetrical. But i'd like to stick with symmetrical skis. plus my edges definitely aren't sharp. i'm in NJ by the way, so no need for any other performance than park and the ability to hold an edge. but it might be another season before i need new skis since i plan to run these into the ground.
bottom line: i would like a better carving park ski, but still symmetrical. should i look for a stiffer flex, larger sidecut or what?
i'm think thinking things like ace of spades, walls, jibs, maybe domains anyway since they're sick apparently and i've always had good experiences with K2.
