O rail

so i have a tramp frame and it would be awesome to use for a rail. the only problem is i dont really have a good way to get speed. has anyone tried something like this before?

cut it in half and make a huge S-rail !

if you keep it like an o-rail you'll keep sliding and sliding and going faster and faster until your speed approaches c and a blackhole will open and devour earth ....

so, go for the s-rail

aluminum slides like shit. your edges are harder and hook.

also, some snowboard video from a while ago had a full circle rail. can't remember what movie though. maybe someone here can think of it.

Probably thinking of the Nixon Jibfest, at least that's what came to mind for me. 'O Rail' at 3:52. Also, this was a much better edit with the Cats in The Cradle song before copyright took it down.

yeah they had that one at nixon jibfest but i'm pretty sure no one got around the whole circle. surprised no one has tried it since (in a high profile way at least)

also, that video says it was in 2004 but im almost positive that was from more like 2001?

there are gonna be edges where the pieces of the frame fit together, so have fun sliding on those, and the aluminum will screw you over.its softer than your steel edges.make sure you film it when you eat shit.it will be lolz.

the edges of the connection are smooth but yeah the metal isnt good for a rail. my edges are dull and ill wax the rail. ill def post a vid if i actually do it

Yeah that vid came out in '02- features Jeff Anderson (RIP).

Andreas Hatveit tried an "urban" circle rail in Omaha in PBP's Yeah Dude, I think? It's always interesting when the idea/concept comes up, I've always wondered if it's physically possible....or if it is what the setup and specs would have to be. Someone needs to do a lot of experimenting for novelties sake.
