Not Another Camera Thread

Hey NS,

So not too long ago, I purchase my first "real" camera, the Nikon D5000. My season started not too long ago as well, and of course, I had already began making edits. (Here's one for ex. http://vimeo.com/18246667) I know, it's not too great, but it's a start.

Now to the main point, I was wondering what a good camera is that is just specified for filming, not just an SLR that films as well as take photos. I've been looking to the Sony VX series as well as the Canon GL2, but I need some insight from Newschoolers. What do you guys use? Show me some edits that have been used with that camera. What are your preferences? I don't know, just post anything helpful. 

I figured I would purchase this camera next year, not anytime soon since I just got the D5000.

Anyway, just give me some pointers.
