Yup looking to buy one, but I know nadda about them. Heard volcanos were the best but are they worth the money? Are vaps you get what you pay for? Best place to buy? Nsg I need your help
For real, check it out, best vap site out there. Volcanos are not at all the best vap, they are good but way overpriced. How much do you want to spend?
Few vapes off the top of my head
Extreme Q: can do bags, and a whip $250-$300
Magic Flight Launch Box: best portable vape out there $100
Vape Xhle Cloud: Ultimate Vape, comes with high end glass too (from SG, SGW, or VG) $350
Those are really the only 3 vapes you need to worry about. But I highly recommend going over to fuckcombustion. You're obviously smart enough to use a forum like NS for skiing info, why not use FC for vapes?
It may be but it's double the price at least, and it's not as small inconspicuous. By brother had a MFLB and a cop took it out of his pocket, looked at it and put it back cause he had no idea what it was. It's a great vape and they are making a plug in adapter for it too. Plus the iolite runs on butane so count that tin the cost as well.
Get the Volcano it really is the best. If not that then at least go with the Vapobrothers wood box ones they are pretty legit too. Anything cheaper is just a waste of money and will suck.
Vapes are very meh though IMO. Its fun for a little while but it doesn't get you that high, and its a different kind of high. They are for old people who don't want to mess their lungs up.
Magic flight if your looking for portability. I personally like box vapes because of the vape > whip > bong option. Imo it doesnt get better than multiple consecutive lungfulls of vapor from high end glass. I use the vapor bros and its great, less than 200, but again its all personnal choice.
Ok i have used many many vapes and i know what ones to buy and what ones to stay away from
Ones to stay away from is every vaporizer except these. Volcano, Extream Q, Vapezilla
The reason i say this is because there is a load of imitation brands that have plastic in them, burns the weed, doesn't taste good, and isn't very efficient on getting you stoned or saving weed.
The Volcano use to be my favorite vaporizer. But the problems with it are its price, it is very big and bulky, it cost you a arm and a leg, and i dont know if this is true but i heard stories of the heating element being bad by releasing pieces of metal and irritating some people.
the extream Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74g9-hRuKfc < sorry hyper link doesn't work for me
^ this vaporizer is by far the best one i have ever used, it is very cheap " on ebay for 160" the store price is 300. The vaporizer has a lifetime warranty, 3 fan speed setting, remote control, automatic shut off after 2 or 4 hours, it has bag and whip, lots of spare parts, has a cyclone bowl, is very small, and can get a battery packet for it. This vaporizer saves so much weed to, way more then the Volcano or Da Buddah.
Da Buddha, my homie has one and it rips us up all the time. It takes a couple times to get it to actually work though, but then it is all smiles from there. Worth checking out. Hope that helps
vapor brothers vape rule. They have a no questions asked lifetime warranty. I think they hit harder than bag vapes too. Plus they can be had for 100ish bucks. I LOOOOVED mine!
get a da buddha or silver surfer. same machine, different designs. IMO best vape for the money is the da buddha. quality american company, with american parts. good sized bowl for personal or party bowls. .1 gets me pretty ripped, and i smoke a lot, mainly because i have a vape. if i didn't have my vape i would have a much harder time smoking. find the right temperature, and it doesn't smell. i love mine, seriously look at fuckcombustion.com at the da buddha thread. another up and coming vape is the VapeExhale Cloud, looks interesting, but i would wait a while until after it comes out to buy it so they work out kinks. However, i prefer straight vaping over water filtered vaping, IMO straight vaping gets you more ripped.
I'd say go witth the Vape Xhale Cloud, it will be about $350. It's not out yet (or maybe it is, or soon) but there's like a 65 page thread about it over on FC. If you don't think you can handle having high end glass, or if you think your friends will break it or bump it, it may not be the best option. However if you can keep it safe which shouldn't be that difficult it will be the best vape to date.
Or even better you could just vape bho off a nice glass setup. I'd actually recommend that over a vape. Have you ever vaped bho before?
Well BHO = butane honey oil.
I dunno if I'm allowed to say how to make it on here but basically you strip herb of all it's goodies (thc, cannabinoids, essential oils, flavinoids, and all the other goodies that physically sifted hash doesn't get) chemically and you are left with bho. You then take a tiny dab of it like .01 - .1 grams and "dab" it on a heated piece of glass, quartz or highgrade titanium and inhale through a bubbler. Basically instead of having a slide (bowl) you have an oil dome or an oil curve with the heated material of your choice (Ti, quartz or glass). So you don't need to buy a whole new piece, just a dome or curve which can be found for $50 all the way to multiple hundreds. So the cost breakdown will be something like
$60: oil attachment (I'm assuming you have at least a decent single perc piece with a 14mm GonG joint, 18mm will work too, the less diffused the better and tastier it will be)
$30: torch
$40: extractor
$60 case of vector butane which will last a loooong time, plus you can fill your torch with it (ONLY use vector)
So for like $200 you can have everything you need but herb
BHO basically allows you to get rid of all the bad stuff in herb (cellulose, plant material and other shit you don't want to be inhaling) and just inhale the goodies (like hash but tastes epic because you get more stuff than hash). You'll be getting the health benefits of vaping and a taste from another world. You'll also probably save money, at least I have and I've been only really vaping oil since last April. Plus there's no after smell, you can smoke inside and in 5 minutes nobody will know you just vaped. Even with a regular electronic vape there's more smell than with oil imo. This is the short and sweet version of BHO, if you want more info shoot me a PM. I'd highly recommend oil over a vape, plus it's pretty damn portable (depending on your piece of glass)
For $120 and looking as inconspicuous as it does I'd say it's pretty bad ass. But you're right, as far as straight quality of hits go, it's alright, but even a Vapor Brothers ($190 for hands free, the non hands free is such a piece of shit) is much much better.
launch box is sick. greatest purchase i've made. Saves mad bud. Only issue is that it takes a while to burn if your with a lot of people and the batteries die pretty quick.
It's kind of a second or third vape or if you already have your bases covered in terms of glass and vapes. It serves sort of a niche purpose being really small and looking like a pencil sharpener and all. I see where you're coming from though.
they only problem ive heard about it is that the stock batteries dont have good life. but they just came out with the AC adapter and there are other better quality batteries and chargers that can be bought.
also that it takes awhile to figure out how to get ideal hits off of it and alot of people cant get really blitzed the first couple times.
i personally prefer a nice bong over any vape i have ever tried. but that being said my favorite is a ssv vape i dont remember which one. volcanoes are coll but i dont think i would ever buy one. as said above im a believer in the smoking is half the fun
Word. People will probably give me shit for saying this but different vapes require different inhale techniques. Different inhination techniques are really key to getting the most out of your vape. Experiment and you'll get a lot more enjoyment.
To the guy who said don't make BHO: lol, ya, it an explode, it is possible, but not a factor you should even consider when deciding to make it or not. Just make sure you do it outside in a WELL ventilated area, I've made dozens of batches and never had a single problem, just use common sense and you'll be kosher.
And to the guy who said use high end glass: High end glass is quite a bit more pricey more than a vape. But yes, it is much better in my opinion. So if OP wants to minimize lung "damage" a nice dub perc (anything more is overkill and will cause drag, even a $1200 13/13/13 Toro, or ) will run you at least $500, so it's probably not an option.
I guess I don't think it regulates it's temperature and the temperature of it's hits as well as say a Vapor Brothers, or a 'Cano (2 vapes I have the most experience with). So ya, it's a little more harsh, a little less tasty, a little hotter than other vapes, but this also has to do with everything being in such a small space, and the "draw straw" being short and close to the heat source.
My cousin had a nice one for like 120 ish. Was a wooden box with a temp control and a pvc tube with a mouth piece like 3 feet long. Worked really well.
No volcano but i mean a good enough vap is a good vap. I'm all about going over board though.Thats why I used to rock a volcano.
i knew this russian guy that payed $900 for one that looked like a walkie talky and apperantly it worked really well, and he could use it whenever he wanted
