Yeah there's a link to download the .pdf at the bottom.
We kept this one super simple so we could keep it free and accessible to everyone.
In the future we may embrace ultra fancy technology, but for now, we're just trying to take a part of newschoolers and make it cooler. We've all got premium content welling up inside of us, and this was the best way to get it out there.
Think of this not as a digital magazine, but simply as an extension of Newschoolers. Thats the concept behind it.
Take your time and sink your teeth into it... we're really proud of this.
We are stoked beyond belief to release this to you guys. Its been a long process making this something up to the standard we thing you guys deserve. Hope you like it and give us feedback!
There is... its not super noticeable but it should be there.
If you hit that page on an iPad you can open the .pdf and save in iBooks. Thats how I read it cover to cover the first time, and loved it.
Don't fret - one of these days we'll get to a proper digimag, but for now we wanted this with high quality content, minimal ads, and in your hands for free.
Seriously though, be ruthless with us. We want to hear what you think, because we've been stressing over this for way, way, way too long. :)
I don't know about anyone else. But I had to click that Adobe logo, which than opened a new tab. Which I then waited for everything to fully load. Finally, I was able to save it.
So stoked. Gonna read it heading home from college tomorrow.
Its a wild new world out there. You should check out some of the digital magazines on the tablet devices.
Nuts.
Honestly though if there's one piece you check out, listen to the audio interview with Cusson if you can. Its like an hour, but its totally awesome and uncut.
I have the show you and Harvey did back for NS radio, you should totally throw it in, to give a little perspective, to show change, and give a little nod to the past.
Take your time... read it. Even if it takes you days, weeks or months... read the content.
We all put a ton of time into making this content, so don't even try to read it quickly. Wait for that "lean back" experience where you're relaxed and in the mood to take in something.
Don't rush it... this site is all about mass consumption of content that happens at a billion miles a second... Newschoolers Issue 1 is about slowing that down and thinking twice about everything.
So if you're in a rush, then just click on through to the rest of Newschoolers and mass-consume content. If you want to read Issue #1 though, do it after a great day of shredding sitting by the fire with a nice cup of coco. :)
Dang, i gotta say i really enjoyed it. Such good content. Just everything about it was solid. Clearly it took a lot of time to compile and edit all of that shit. &It came out good. Nice work!
^click the newschoolers logo in the upper left.
