Bending my FKS breaks to fit some One Lifes

So I've got an old pair of black/gold FKS 120's with the stock breaks. I was wondering if it would be possible to bend the breaks on them to fit a 112 waist.



If not, is there any way I'd be able to get wider breaks for older FKS?

Or am I just fucked?

take them apart, use heat, bend real slow..there is a tutorial somewhere on here..I can't find it..but yeahClick for larger image

yeah, you can bend stock fks brakes to about 120mm from my experience.

I bent mine to fit my New Lifes (122 at waist). They fit fine.

oh yeah you can bend them wider for sure, just with the regular skinny brakes, once you get past 120 there isnt much brake left to effectively stop them.

Problem: They are already on the skis, bent out a little bit to fit.
Is my only option to take off the heel pieces and do this deal?

if they arent so tight that they're wearing away the sidewall, i would just try a bend a bit of a curve in them so they arent hanging over the edge of the ski. if they're legitimately way to small, yes you will have to do this. the shop mounted my blue steeles with 75mm brakes (they're 86 underfoot) and i had to take them off and bend them.

i bent mine to fit some 189 pontoons. had no problems at all to go from 75mm to ~140mm
