Beginner - what boots/bindings should I get?

So I'm pretty new to skiing but I'm progressing pretty quickly... I'm past renting gear so now I'm in the process of getting my own. Got Surface skis the other day... so now I'm looking into boots and bindings.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Looking into Full Tilt boots... the boots I've rented have always hurt my shins so I'm looking for comfort.
Also what would be a good all-around beginners boot in the Full Tilt line? Because they're sectioned off as Freeride, Freestyle, etc...
And as far as bindings, I have no clue...
Sorry for such newbie questions, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Oh and I'll be on groomed runs (at least for right now) in Big Bear, CA.
I'm 19, 5'4", 122lbs (yeah I know I'm short!)
And my budget $600...
Thanks!

your best bet is to go to your local ski shop and ask them, as boots can be pretty specific depending on weight, foot width, size tolerance. as everyone says on here get the boot that fits and not the ones that look the coolest.
and as for bindings its really the same thing, talk to your shop. but since your new to skiing and on groomers you'll be able to stay under a din of 10. so the mark squire could work or any basic rossi or Salomon.

im 5'7", same weight as you, and i ride look px 12 jibs. however, ive heard that the griffons are good, and you might want to check out the salomon px 12/14 drivers, as they have adjustable toe height, for any boots you get. or look pivot 14s. as for boots, you want to go to your local store to try some on. full tilts fit very narrow feet, so if you have wider feet you might want to go with something like a salomon or atomic. look at the boot sticky at the top of gear talk for boot questions
