The new Oakley ads...

Are starting to get on my nerves.

I go to change a thread.
My mouse goes down a little too far and BOOM!
The Oakley ad scrolls down. K, I'm not trying to click something down there, I'm trying to change a thread.
Wait, why can't I click the threads! THE AD!

So I have to go down and click the x only for it to happen again!
This may just be me that's getting angry though, so if it is, disregard!

my only issue with these is that sometimes when they pop down the links up top dont work. if seths pretty face has popped down the links dont turn orange or work at all

using ad block = hurting NS. unless you know how to use it and only block that one ad, you're screwing the site out of money. Don't do that.

Ads are fine....ads that inhibit the website experience have to fucking go, come on guys.

Not to mention, that whole comic hero ad campaign is fucking stupid. When I saw the Oakley booth at SIA I cringed.

That really is hurting the site. I get ads I just can't stand the ones that make their way into the posting/forum area or mess with the links.

i'm all for NS getting as much money as they can out of advertising because there is no way they could run the site on user donations alone, but seriously guys? could you mix it up a bit?

It's annoying. And worth considering is people browsing from work, school or other public computers can't always change their setting to prevent these ads.

Could you guys post what Browser and OS you're using?

So far the problem with the oakley ad happens in Chrome, Firefox and Safari on Windows 7. Ie on win 7 works.

Win XP seems to work fine with FF / Chrome.

Please post browser / OS combo and help us get to the bottom of it!
