Holy shit that's a good deal. If anyone happens on something like that and just doesn't happen to have 10 g's, drop me a line, because I might just jump on it for the hell of it. Now that I have my winter ride, next up is a summer toy.
Speaking of winter ride, turns out the Buick Enclave I was going to buy had a lien on it. Decided to go with something smaller and more reliable.
It cost much more than $9000 unfortunately.
What the fuck ever. When I was considering the Enclave the buzzword was "what are you, 70 years old"? At this point apparently Jeep YJ's are for 20 year old girls. I will never understand why people are so eager to attach stereotypes to cars.
The thing is essentially a nicer, more upscale version of the Highlander. It has a tow package, a roof box, and blizzaks. Hence it will get me up to a ski hill in comfort and quiet and do it with reasonable gas mileage. Case closed.
Wait, you mean outside the fact that it's a great all around vehicle for all seasons and 99% of all road conditions, reliable, good on gas, comfy with a nice ride and good looks as well??? You're totally right- all that lame shit is, like, wicked stupid. JD should stop being such a bitch and buy a Lambo already so 15 year old boys would want to blow him. That would be the shit! PROPS FOR KEEPING IT SO REAL, BRO!
;)
What else would I get? BMW and Mercedes are more expensive and not at all reliable, and expensive to repair to boot. I liked the Lexus's ride better than the MDX, and it costs less. The FX35 is awesome but pretty small and very stiff to drive. The Edge is still a Ford and even with all the gadgetry they've added (which admittedly is pretty cool) the ride wasn't on par. Nothing else competes.
Show me a better mid sized SUV for similar money to a used RX350. Honestly intrigued as to what you'd come up with.
