yeaeaa ill!!

i'm stoked for a few reasons, besides the obvious.

its gonna be sick to get our sport out there because most people don't actually know that it exists. also, snowboarding is like auto win for shaun white, its not even interesting. skiing can go anyway right now. and like someone said it would be soooo sick to see tanner compete again.

but what i think will be really cool is having people how we really feel about our sport. all these people that compete in the olympics are just wired to try and win and thats all. people fucking cheating and getting disqualified. someone posted that picture with tanner saying like 'you just won the olympics,' but thats really what i'm talking about. for those who don't ski, i feel like if they would watch stuff like that, they wouldn't even be able to comprehend what is going on.

In case you're curious about the details, here's what's been going on with the process so far:

In the spring, FIS congress voted unanimously to try and get ski pipe added to the Olympics.

A couple of days ago, in Lausanne, FIS presented the case to the IOC program commission. The IOC program commission said yes.

Now that the IOC program commission supports it, all that remains for it to be official is the final approval from the IOC executive board, and Sochi Organizing committee.

This final approval stage could be finished in a matter of weeks, so there is a good chance that it will be official by the time we get on snow this winter.
