Atomic Urban Punx

Heya people!

Another topic about the Punx, but this time about the Urban Punx, they're discontinued now (they stopped making them in the 2009/2010 season, so the last generation of them was released in 2008/2009 season), but I was wondering how it/they work(s)? Are they much better than the normal Punx for rails and stuff? More durable and less likely to catch an edge?
Because I could get a pair of 173's (I'm 6"4 and have the 182 punx, which I absolutely love) for next to nothing (like 50$, brand new ones, two seasons ago, so the latest ones) and I was wondering if I should just to fuck 'em up and use them on rails? I know they're very short but what the hell.

So, pretty much two questions:
- Are they worth getting?
And if so:
- Should I also get a pair when it's only the 173 model.
