Headphones & Skiing

who actually finds that skullcandy icons or other headphones like that work well for skiing? I always found that they never stay on right and always fall down whenever I move.

ive got icons and buds. I use my buds when skiing solo or skiing pow. And my icons are for park days

its easy, flip your icons backwards, put the speakers over your ear then buckle your helmet strap with them inside.

This is always annoying for me cuz on the lift and off the lift sometimes i wanna talk to my friends/ family or hear them if theyre sayin like stop or something. Anyone have any advice?

I just found a pair in my closet that are loud as shit so i might be doin the same.

icon soft is where its at, without a helmet at least.  Tuneups with a helmet, mine sound pretty good, but not being able to hear is annoying with tuneups.

you just blew my mind      i would thing self adhesive velcro, the ruff side... cut it in a ring shape ( out of the way of sound holes)
 and stick it to the plasic of icon after riping the foam off would be awsome for beanie users

I used to have a Giro helmet with Skullcandy "tune-ups", or little headphone speakers you put in the ear pads. I loved that setup so much that I actually modded my current helmet and a pair of skullcandy (icons, i think) into basically the same thing.

I know its not technically headphones, but I think its better. Best part is, my helmet looks pretty ghetto (lack of a better term) modded.

the whips
they are thinner and more durable, and they have these gel earpads that stick to a beanie super well
and like the same price as icons, mine were like $29

i love skullcandys but i have gone through probably around 5 or 6 pairs of them what ever i do i can never get them to last anyone know of a better option? thanks a bunch

i dont know if anyone's done this, but i put the band on my icons through the outer goggle holdall strap on my helmet, then adjust it to fit my ear, then put a hair band over them to fit tightly over my ear, seems to work fine with me, try it..

icon 2's every day.

put em over the hat or under the helmet, but always under the goggle strap. they simply wont stay on my head without the strap tightly over em.

Icons that snapped in half. Plastic broke and the the right headphone came off then i just cut out the plastic connectors for the top thing and it fits perfectly under my helmet.

these, of course in-ear. ears might be a lil soar but worth staying in your ear throughout the day , even with a helmet.

I rock a helmet with a beanie underneath and I got Icon's from Amazon last year for like $8+shipping = around $12 so a really good deal price wise. As others have said before, flip them upside down and wear them 'round your neck. Works for me.

Nothing Skullcandy is good, I cant believe people are willing to compromise audio quality and component quality just for a crappy pair of in flight headphones with some cool graphics on them.

Seriously everybody? Skullcandy? Get off the fucking bandwagon. Skullcandys are the biggest pieces of shit out there. For earbuds go Sony, or for on ear the new Nixon Whips are the shit. The earpads are silicon so they stick like glue to your hat.

i use skullcandy earbuds because they are cheap and work fine for me. I dont want to spend more that 30 on earbuds because they arent that hard to break and my ipod was recenly stolen with my earbuds so i wasnt too pissed about losing those.

As for icons, while they look cool they hurt my ears, sound like crap, and dont stay on my head.
