Stanced car thread

there are a bunch of different car threads on here- but a car that is stanced or flush is what gets me going- most of these pics are off of stanceworks, vortex and bimmerforums- but I thought it would be nice to show you guys some

we are all about rare wheels, split wheels, doesnt matter how you get low- coils or air(although guys with air get hated on pretty hard haha)

since were on NS a Subaru to start em off

I just sold my evo to get rid of some school debt early- picked up a mk2 jetta coupe and Bagyard bombers- sitting at home-wheels are a secret- anyone at h2o hit me up- ill be the guy in bagged mk2 with a NS penis in the front seat

Rotiforms are so overpriced imo. Their 3-pc wheel barrels bend really easily also. Their refinishing service is great, but for your money you could get a lot more.

There are a lot of wheel importers that get wheels from Japan and import them here to the states for good deals.

I almost bought a set of Work Eurolone DH's in 17x8 and 17x9 et 35 but had to pass up because of finances. They were $900. Pretty cheap for legit wheels.

Lost of good places to find used wheels for good prices, Zilvia, VR Wheels, Memory Fab, Apt 9 wheels, etc. Just gotta have the time to look.

ya know what it really takes? a very small amount of actual knowledge or skill, and a lot of free time to waste on a retarded fucking project.
you know what takes real skill? and isnt a complete waste of time? setting a car and its suspension up to perform at its absolute best.

I feel like the people who buy into this whole stanced fad are the car people who dont have any driving skill or any real automotive knowledge, but get into the whole stanced scene to get attention and be seen, so they can look like a cool car person, but dont want to do it in a way that takes any real skill or effort.

so pretty much, its the new ricer.

I will agree its much tougher to set up a suspension system to actully be usefull at a track, how many of these guys race there cars at a track, I will give you a hint, next to none and if they do they have an alternate suspension set up for it.

you obviously dont like the stanced scene so get the fuck out of this thread, sorry that you think you know more about building a car than every one here (if im wrong PLEASE prove me wrong without saying stance is aids and track setups are way better for not driving on a track) I dont tell you how to dress or act so dont try and tell me how to build a car.

both out of my price range.. i was trying to get some bmw style 5's but they sold. may not be getting the wheels now...offset is far from perfect. and rotiforms are retardedly overpriced, except for the 1 piece blq.

awful argument..if you really believe it strip the paint off your car and see how long the bare metal lasts after a few seasons of weather, dings/dents and scrapes

but on a side note..


do you know what you are talking about? You cant just switch out your suspension to one that is dialed in for the track... you have to put the suspension on and then re-dial absolutely everything its a real fucking pain in the ass. its far more than just taking one set of coilovers off and putting a new set on.

keep checking ebay. I picked up a set of volks for 700 bucks on there and had them completely redone. could have easily sold them for 2500 but they were stolen haha

I dont know more about building a car than anyone here. i never said that. but i could stance a car pretty fucking easily because it takes very little talent. i really hate this idea that it takes skill to stance a car. it just takes time, and the mechanical knowledge your average 16 year old has.

im not telling you how to build a car, im just telling you its fucking dumb.

The main problem with fake wheels is companies like XXR and Rota copy designs from manufacturers like Volk, Work, etc taking away from their business that actually perform R&D into making good, quality wheels.

I guess think of it as a ski company copying the exact design of Line, Armada, etc skis and then selling them. They might look like the real thing, but they just don't perform near as well.
