Stanced car thread

there are a bunch of different car threads on here- but a car that is stanced or flush is what gets me going- most of these pics are off of stanceworks, vortex and bimmerforums- but I thought it would be nice to show you guys some

we are all about rare wheels, split wheels, doesnt matter how you get low- coils or air(although guys with air get hated on pretty hard haha)

since were on NS a Subaru to start em off

I just sold my evo to get rid of some school debt early- picked up a mk2 jetta coupe and Bagyard bombers- sitting at home-wheels are a secret- anyone at h2o hit me up- ill be the guy in bagged mk2 with a NS penis in the front seat

my buddys g35 19x9.5 +0 in the front and 19x10.5 +0 in the rear... + spacers, talk about agressive as fuck fitment, i forgot what size tire he's running but theres tons a stretch too.

right now it sits like shit, the wheels that came on it are gross ( bought used), and the stocks are meh.. but its still low, but looks ugly with the wheels he bought with the car... here it is anyway

not true what so ever. some people just don't want to roll around constantly on 3k+ wheels, the risk of getting stolen, curb rashed, and just straight fucked up isn't something you want to drive on constantly

that's not true what so ever ? i can go anywhere your car can.. expect maybe a rocky 4 wheeler trail.

it's called going up steep driveways/ speed bumps at an angle.. remember my car can go anywheres yours can, maybe not as quick...but it can.

i'm also not 15 neither are the people i hangout with that have slammed cars.

no sir, these cars and the style they have is the same type of thing as huge lifted trucks or muscle cars. you dont have to like them at all but a lot of people do and as the other guy said my car is lowered and i can still do the same things just slower and at an angle

A few kids cars at my school that they lowered. The RSX was only on springs here but he's got coils now and went lower.

I respectfully disagree.  Those wheels and his stance don't look nearly as insane at the height he has to be to drive through streets in Seattle.  There is literally no way you could get around some places in downtown with a car even close to that low.  I think bags have their place and to each his own.  I prefer coils but I don't feel like "oh thats fucking lame and doesn't look cool" because of the type of suspension he has.  You could put a fucking Prius motor in a Zonda and it would still look badass.  I am simply saying I like the look of his car. 

I guess I never have really understood the hate on bags.  The people on bags aren't trying to push their car hard or track it and in all reality every car that is dumped on coils won't either because having 6 degrees of camber will make your car handle like complete shit anyway.  I feel like its just all these people thinking that scraping their shit on everything makes them cool. 

And you cannot tell me you wouldn't cringe driving around in a $50K car scraping it on speedbumps since you want to be "badass" on your coils in a business mans car.

If they can make my car look like this I am fine with bags.

i track my car and im on coils, it's call adjusting them and not being a hardparker, its not hard avoiding potholes/ driving slow.

Yeah, I know everyone knows how to avoid potholes, I am talking about all of the steep ass hills in Seattle.  Trying to get something even half that low up and down San Francisco style hills would just not work.  I am up at least 3 inches from where he sits and If I was any lower I would high center on certain hills.  Post a pic of your car then if you are that stanced.  I just find it hard to believe you would stance it for daily, lift it up a touch for the track and get an alignment, then drop it back down to stance it and get a new alignment every time you want to track it.

my gli is my daily and modded, don't track it that often.. once in awhile

pics dont do justice of how low my car is, recently had an alignment, backs lower and have a more agressive fitment since this picture was taken, pulled my front fenders some more and am running 10mm spacers in the front and 20mm in the back. shits spot on

Looks pretty nice man! However, I still think my point stands. The difference between mine and your cars and the rest of the cars in this thread is monumental. I can certainly see how yours would be a great daily/track car at that height. However, it would just not be quite low enough to make Gilberts or some of the other cars in this thread look great.

Anyway, I don't really want to cause a big stir as I like your car and how it is set up. I was just simply trying to point out that for truly "stanced" cars as wiki and everyone else has noted in this thread they won't perform for shit. They have an unusable amount of camber, so it doesn't really matter if they are bagged or coiled since they won't get to use the performance of coils anyway unless they adjust them up.

But yeah, I am liking the ride looks super clean. I am personally a lot more into something that is usable daily, be it from sane drops and camber or bags, than I am of throwing 10 degrees of camber on.

this- while riding over to vagfair yesterday my friend noah put it perfect- he doesnt care about performance or anything due to the lack of money he has. Which is fine with me. I am all about either having a car that looks good but can perform aswell- if your going to stance the shit out of your car fine- just dont claim it to be some performance monster that handle on rails.


this is noahs car btw- 100% static and he lives in the middle of fucking nowhere PA with the shittiest roads in America- drives it 2 hours to West chester every weekend and prob 30 miles a day to school- If your gonna go hard- go real hard- if anyone was at Vagfair this si the car with the lower it gli lip at the coutrkultur booth-

me on the other hand- last night after vag fair went down to MD for a Z and G meet and I was the only non-turbo Z there. I ended up cruising till 1 in the morning around Baltimore watching those guys do pulls with other cars.

All Im going to say is watching Alberto's car break loose on 11 inch rears with sticky advan rubber at 80mph is one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

I can't wait to be done school and start playing with my 92' 300e. With 321,000 km she's got too many km to sell for a half decent price, but runs amazing and the interior is mint. Thinking simple AMG style body kit, lower suspension and wheels. Low and slow.

and as for that 300e, that sounds badass. I dont mind being low n slow, it looks sick and theres no point in a ridiculously fast car. having a peppy fast car just makes me drive like a retard which ends up in A: tickets which cost $. or B: car damage that costs $.
