Beauty is cultural to a degree. But hundreds of studies have shown that the more average your features, the more appealing you are. As in, the more semetrical your face is, the more attractive it is. The more average sized your nose is, the more attractive it is. Mathematically, there is an exact average face for both men and women. Those closer you are to that average, the more attractive you will appear to mass society. Of course there are cultural manipulations to go with it like americans like white perfectly straight white teeth and there are cultures in africa where they want the woman to be as fat as possible... but that aside, there is a "perfect" face....

There is an entire field of science related to this called evolutionary psychology.

Social darwinism? I wouldn't go that far. It is a pretty outdated idea. And that is saying that people are getting smarter cause smarter people are mating. Which statistically isn't the case. Statistically the more education you have, the less likely you are to have kids. The higher your social ranking/ the less likely you are to have kids... and so forth. This isn't the case.

I was pretty sure I didn't use the term Knowledge in there....

My analogy of the 10 year old boy was to show different aptitudes.

If intelligence is the ability to learn and comprehend then knowledge gained from ones level of inteligence is reliant upon the persons surroundings. Hense why someone may thing a boy in the amazon is not as intelligent as an american white boy because they gave him a puzzle and assumed that was unbiased and cross cultural.

IQ tests aren't exactly hard to figure out. The puzzles are mostly discerning patterns and stuff like that. The whole point is that you don't need any background knowledge to take the test.

(Not suggesting that IQ tests are the be all and end all of judging intelligence, but i think they do a decent job).

honestly, i am so full of myself and want to look intelligent, so i call out wiki because its not 100% reliable.





dude, fuck off. wiki is great, and if you read without having your head in your own ass, its pretty legit 99% of the times. just hit some additional sources for deeper shit or for controversial topics, but for most topics, wiki is legit as hell. i study since 2 years, and for 1. overviews over specific topics and 2. information about broad topics its the fucking bomb.

please shut up, seriously. try to change something and look how long it lasts, i dare you motherfucker. i double dare you motherfucker, say "fuck wiki" on more goddamn fucking time.

Apparently you didn't take the PSAT last year.  An article for the reading comprehension portion stated that wikipedia is very accurate.

your argument is void because iq tests can be made to be culturally neutral. Caucasians made the iq tests that the asians beat everybody on. Think about that. IQ remains the best predictor of socioeconomic outcomes later in life. The idea that everyones intelligence should be the same if everybody is raised the same has not only been proven false by adoption studies, but it is as ludicrous an argument as saying that every humans height will be the same if fed the same diet. Expecting people who hunted and gathereduntil relatively recently to have had the same selection pressure towards increased intelligence that there has been in complex european and east asian societies to be intelectually identical is simply an irrational expection.

its wierd because different iq tests have put germany in front of all other nations, with a small pocket of ashkenazhi jewish population on the eastern border of germany (near berlin where the jew einsten was born) scored a whopping average of 113 iq, thats 4 points above any other national average
