Replying to How to fix a missing or unsupported codec

Today I got footage from a friend that he shot of me over the winter and it is in .MOV and when I import it into vegas all that shows is a black screen.

I have had this problem before but I just made the file a .WMV and it worked fine. My problem now is that when I try to convert it I get an error message saying that it cannont be coverted because unsupported parrameters or a missing codec.

How do I fix this?
