Not my best work ever, but wanted to put together a quick (15 min) edit of T Wall since people have been asking for one and I've been working on my editing skills. Let me know what you guys think.

Yo dawg 11:22 is Schlopy you fucking retard. Tom was wearing blue pants that day, and the bottom of Toms skis are yellow not black. Schlopy was the one wearing orange pants on the day of the jump. Go watch the team America edit again.

Watch the JOSS Team America edit, you can see the shot before its Schlopy riding up the sled then going to hit the jump. And they only hit the jump for one day.

as i said dude, it is definitely far from my best work. i just mashed it together in a period of about an hour or two and did my best at syncing song with shot every now and again.

considering the fact youve been here barely a year, its not surprising you dont see me make very many positive posts lately.


there hasnt been very much to post positively about.


was i negative? absolutely.

but im sick of this new trend of taking a bunch of footage people put a ton of working into to film, edit etc. and they turn around and throw it together in a crappy montage with no credit to the original creators. its not cool in the slightest.

The cons of reedits

- they are shitty quality
- usually poorly edited
- either dont give credit to the original producers or if they do give credit to the original producers, the producers are stuck with a shitty reedited video attached to their name which could ruin their rep as a filmmaker

pros
- you hear a new song for shots youve already seen 100 times

Im surprised. I expected skier man to be soo pissed. Instead I was able to read one of the most positive comments I've ever seen out of him. And the best part, the topic was still...."not a fan of videos like this"

Anyways, the video was cool to watch and I definitely enjoyed it but its really disrespectful to the filmers to give them no credit.

edit's removed. thanks for those who enjoyed it and sorry for those who were anal enough to care about the footage. skiing is about having fun with our sport in any aspect. since when did shit become all about copyrights and whose footage belongs to who? mcconkey would laugh at all of you fools.

You are so fucking ignorant. Filmers spend days filming and making edits to produce something they are proud of and can show to an audience. Some producers like Josh Berman spend thousands of dollars to do this. You obviously have no idea the time and effort put into filming and creating these edits that you then chopped up and editted to shitty ass music. Not only that, since you downloaded them off the internet and then compressed it 100 times down, it looks shitty. You didn't ask for permission for any of this footage, you blatantly didn't "edit" at all, most of the shots were in the same order with the same cuts as the original edit it was in. Maybe if you made and effort, asked for permission and didn't use shitty as songs, people would have been less anal. As a producer myself, of course its flattering to see someone reedit footage of mine, but when they do a shitty ass job of it and make me look bad, i don't like it and im sure the producers of the edits you took from (me partially included) weren't stoked to see their hard work butchered to a shitty song and with the same editing/cuts as their original edit.


If you want to do this in the future, please ask the producers of the edits you wish to reedit. You might get a no from some people, but tough shit, if they don't want you do to it then you should respect that and not asking at all, let alone giving full credit from the start is extremely disrespectful.

Not only do i know what skiing is all about but i know what respect is too, i told you if you asked and the people who put these shots online said it was okay, then i was fine with it. Yes skiing is fun, filming is fun too. I enjoy filming alot, but to say its not hard to work to produce a good edit which an audience will be entertained by is so fucking ignorant. That being said, i definitely ski more than i film so drop the "oh you're not talented enough to ski so you film" bullshit. Just because something is "fun" doesn't make it "easy". Make an edit with good filming and editing that can compare with the best on NS and then you can tell me that filming skiing isn't hard work.

You're the one who needs to chill the fuck out, my post wasn't hating (minus the shitty ass music you used which caused me to mute it) i was just laying down my opinion and if you don't like it then grab a tissue.
