Well I guess if you're going there in august, be prepared for ridiculous amounts of asian tourists. They will be obnoxioulsy taking pictures of such rare wildlife such as birds, squirrels, and my personal favorite, one of the thousands of elk within a 100km radius. They particularily enjoy cornering bull elk and/or bears and all talking pictures of them at once. I'm not kidding. Banff will be ridiculously busy but don't let that stop you. As said before District(used to be mt magic freestyle) is a pretty chill shop. The owners have been awesome to me, first time I went in they gave me 20% off some jiberish just because they're awesome I guess. Mt magic (the ski/bike shop) is unrelated to district but is right next door. They have some cool stuff in the winter but I think its mainly bikes in the summer but check it out. Across the street from that is the Ski Stop. It's not really a freestyle shop but they have some sick faction/rossi stuff. Also more bikes in the summer. And on the same street as all the above is barpa bills. You need to go to Barpa bills and get the barpa burger. It's not up for discussion just do it.
