Frozen shaving cream prank?

So I'm going to do this on thursday... but at looking at a can of shaving cream, it says 'keep from extreme cold'.
If I were to put the can into a freezer, is it safe for it to freeze without pre-explosion?

freeze it, cut out the bottom and put it somewhere in a school or something, i would assume

Yeah, when it melts, the shaving cream expands and fills up whatever space its in.

you have to make sure it is the foam stuff not the gell. the gell wont work. i did that prank to a buddy last year. it was great.

But you don't even need to cut open the bottom I don't thing, and it would cooler not cutting it open because then it explodes and all.
But when it freezes wont it expand a little like ice, or is it too thick for that, and break the can?

i was gonna put them on a car,but i was told it would fuck the paint up bad,i didnt wanna get in trouble cuz the person would know it was me,if anyone can verify the paint NOT coming off

guys, you will need a helluva lot more then 1 can of shaving cream to fill up a car, it will just leave a pile of shaving cream(about a square foot's worth) that would be easy to clean up. you will most likely be laughed at. if you do this, i'd conduct an experiement outside to see how much foam it really is...

ok, i need somone to gimmie a step by step on this...starting with the can. what do you have to buy? what do you have to do to prep it? how long in the freezer? what do you have to do to it after the freezer? how long take to melt? ect...

do an expareiment get to shaving cream cans, one u stick in a bag tightly and then stick it in the freezer, see wut happens, if its good, then try it with out the bag. do it in the schools fridge or something.

i think you need to freeze it in liquid nitrogen. then cut off the bottom with a hacksaw. somebody should try this though and verify.

buy a can of basic foam shaving cream, not the gell. freeze it over night or until the entire contents seem frozen. hack the bottom of the can off with a saw. place anywhere, it works best in a drawer so it overflows. when it thaws expect a big mess. really. if you want to get a little crazy use more than one can.

there is a site (that seems messed up right now) www.cockeyed.com that defunked this myth. Yes, you could freeze it in liquid nitrogen, but how many people get get their hands on it (no pun intended). This other guy just froze it, carefully nipped off the bottom of the can, and placed it in a bowl. As it thawed, it expanded yes, but not as drastically as people are lead to believe. To see how much it will expand, just get a big bowl, and empty out a non frozen can into it, it should be a bit less than 1 cubit foot if I remember right. So to fill a car, you would need a hell of a lot of shaving cream, but I guess its doable with maybe 50-100 cans.

manus...if you freeze it...cut the bottom off and throw it into a car that is sitting out in the sun then it will take about 2 cans to fill a car, but realize that shit will go into all of the vents, speakers, etc...

how long before it goes off, and five0 shaving cream, like eggs, contains some acidic properties and if left on the cars paint for a long periods of time it can deteriarate the outer layer off the paint causing it to look faded, it hasta be on there pretty long though it stayed on my friends car for like 10 hours and he washed it off with a hose with no damage done

in the anarchist cookbood, it says you have to have 14 cans to fill a car and they say to use liquid nitrogen. I would imagine you could freeze in a freezer but idk

no , all you do is stick the can into the freezer, and when it is fully frozen, cut the entire can off, and put it some where, when it melts it will expand, this will work one can might not fill up a can but it will sure make a huge mess, i have done this before
