Kindergarten sex ed?!?

I think this is horribly wrong to teach almost any level of sex ed at such a young age much less how in-depth they plan to go with these children as soon as 5th grade! They are literally going to teach first graders about same sex relationships and 5th graders about sex positions! whats do you think ns?

And people complain now about how each kids from younger generations are having sex too young. Teaching first graders about what sex is will not help anything

When did you guys start sex ed?

I'm pretty sure we started some form of it in grade one or so... basically they were teaching us that in people touched us in certain places or made us feel uncomfortable that we should tell someone. I don't think sex itself was mentioned for years.

I like how the name of your post is Kindergarten Sex Ed- yet they are going to start in 5th grade- which is the right time to start- because your going into middle school and puberty- Its better to educate you before rather than when your in the thick of it- Our school district had sex ed in 6th grade- dont see what the big deal is

Agreed... That's when we first got "The Video". But that video basically just talked about puberty and hormones and shit like that. We didn't get down to body parts til 8th grade.

In 4th grade we had "The Movie" which taught us about puberty but not so much sex. And then in 6th grade health, we learned about the anatomy. Finally in 8th grade, they dropped the bomb,  and told us sex was jamming a penis inside a vagina, and we should probably use some glad bags if we dont want bumps or babies popping up in places.

in 4th grade was my first sorta sex ed. all the girls left the room and we watched a video about our body and like puberty. then girls came in and we left and they watched a video. actual sex came in at 6th grade

no they shouldn't do that because at that age i was fine with being molested because it was like a game to me. if they teach fellow molested kids at that age what's really happening then they'll end up a lot more fucked up than i am. bad idea parents.

really? 8th grade? i think thats way too late, i first found out what sex really was in like 3rd or 4th grade. hell in 8th grade half the kids were doing it.

i think 4th grade would be the best.

We got the full sex ed class in 5th grade. Much younger than that isn't a good if you're talking about it in detail; saying "if someone touches you, you need to tell an adult" is one thing, telling them that people fuck is another.

no i heard this story and they will start around 1st grade or so but parents can pull their kids from school on the sex ed day. i think it is quite fucked up that they are teaching fifth graders how to fuck and make a baby before they have started puberty. teaching them would be wrong they don't need their innocent minds corrupted at such a young age

I slept during my sex ed talk in 5th grade because the night before I was out with my cousin.

Then after our sex ed talk all I can remember is getting old spice deodorant for free, sooooo good

They started teaching sex ed in 5th grade for me. OF course it was just the basics and every person laughed their ass off, but its not that strange. If you know any kids these days, most of them already know everything. My neighbors grandchildren (6 and 8) already know everything about sex, which kinda surprised me haha.

I worked in an elementary school, and middle school, and I also find it surprising the amount of young kids that already know so much about sex, and use sexual jokes just in every day talk (not quite 6 year olds, but 9-10)

i baby sit twins that are 10 going into 6th grade, girl and boy

today as i arrived at the house as usual the boy told me that him and his sister just watched american pie.
So i said "so your sexually educated now philip?"
his response " not really, ive been masturbating for the past year"
