Every big road trip I seem to flip them on here and there. Some of it is way to shitty, But for some reason I like a bunch of it. I find the lyrics kind of funny, but I don't know what is about it that attracts me. It's quality shit.

I didn't say I in anyway believe in christianity. For some reason that cookie cutter rock with the meaningful in a meaningless way vocals are high quality on road trips.

Well old school bluegrass for sure and even a lot of newgrass is just sick. Bluegrass over country for ever. Del MCoury band still killing it today. But that's stuff that litters my ipod and I would listen to at shows, on the ipod or anywhere. Chirstian music is just a song or two here and there on long road trips. Plus it comes in crystal clear even in fucking antarctica that and country. And then if your in a place like jersey(thank god I'm able to avoid that pace on most road trips) You get 90 percent of the stations with horrible hip hop or mainstream shit. That I can do a song or two of At 3 or 4 am to wake me back up. Country I can usually pull of a song or sometimes a set if it's decent. Mostly I just stick to the jam or classic. I can listen to that anywhere.

I still enjoy a bit of screamo/ post-hardcore every now and then, and it's one of the very few things Christianity does well.

Yeah but the regular mainstream music doesn't come with the misguided passion in the vocals. Although some of those mainstream or semi stations that end with "the drive" are alright for a little while on road trips. I like a few of those songs, some throwbacks to the 90s and what not. Good cruising music.

I think some of it might have to do with. There was this church in the town I used to live in. they did this youth group thing and with nothing really going on ever it was the cool thing to do once a week. Good food chilling with all your friends.

But they had these spaghetti dinners in the winter spring. If you worked a couple of them you could go to 6 flags darien lake for 3 or 4 days for free. Camping and riding the rollaer coasters with all your friends. We used to wear american flags as capes and the canadians would do the same. no major fights but always some fun shit trying to fuck with the crew of canadians.

The manitory half hour bible stufy worship thing before the park opened was always kind of a bust but sill worth it for the trip. It was like a christian music festival going on. Not that there weren't plenty of people going just for the free trips with different churches. Saw a lot big christian music bands. I'm in no way religious, but some of them were actually really good, some of them were god awful. Saw something like 50 maybe a few more bands in the 3 or 4 years i went there. Kind of funny when I talk to religious people though. Because I've already seen most of the bands they listen to.

I'm open to all forms of music. I listen to many different styles. I don't have any christian beats on my ipod but I still enjoy flipping on a station for a few songs in between radio surfing.

Shit is pretty catchy too. I just enjoy people belting out vocals with passion and pretty much every christian song is like that.

I don't have sirius in the car. I wouldn't be surfing to christian music if I did. It comes in everywhere high quality though.

I like Jam ON, Grateful dead, Classic vinyl, and a few of the other ones. If I had one in my car I'd probably stay between GD and Jam on. Can't go wrong with those too.

Can't knock it. It's hard to find good classic on the radio while driving. I don't want 80s hair metal. Seems that's all I get.

But I usually flip between styles and save the stations that are clear until they cut out. In the south I like to flip on those black pastors. The one guy was like singing his speech. It was such quality stuff for 5 minutes.

Idk. I dislike just about everything religion stands for but I gotta get that christian music in here and there. Borrowed my moms van while I was home and had the car in the shop. There was a "wow worship" cd in there(It's the Jesus equivalent of NOW) Most of the shit sucked but there were some good ones like the one I posted.


Idk. The way it feels. There's extra passion in it. If you can forget about the fact that the passion stems from believing in something ridiculous it's pretty rad. Also reminds me of my childhood a little bit but somehow in a good way, even though it has religious ties.


Does that make any sense?


FTR I listen to a little bit of everything. Not afraid to flip on something because it isn't cool. Christian music def isn't my standard listening but every once in a while it's awesome.




Or the bluegrass gospel which I think is a fucking amazing genre.
Found some great stations on the way across tennessee over the weekend. Actually was getting good stuff all the way through virginia then lost it on the way north.
