i searchbarred for this, and nothing came up, so i figured i would share my thoughts with the NS community. when i was 14 years old i got my first job at a fruit stand at the end of my road. i would work spring summer fall and they closed for the winter, letting me ski my lil heart away until spring again. i did this for 3 years, then worked as a lifeguard then park crew.
what i am getting at here is that i have had a job ever since i was old enough to work. now, looking back at all the high school and even college kids, many of them have never had a job. when i began tp drive, i had buy my own car, buy my own car insurance when i turned 18, and pay for gas.i have to buy all my ski gear, buy my pass, etc etc. however, as i look back, i just see parents forking over checks for this and credit cards for that. i am in no way jealous or angry, because the kids are the ones at a loss here seeing as they have no idea how to manage or earn money. but im just wondering, how many of you kids have a job, or dont, and how old are you?
