are you sure? I used the sizing chart and the M came mid thigh on me, and whenever I try on other L jackets (Oakley) they are HUGE.

Honestly dude I don't know. There is so much debate and conjecture regarding the sizing that for anyone to give accurate advice at this stage is impossible.

Personally I think zipper length as a frame of reference is retarded, it's dependant on how high the zipper goes; up to the mouth, covers the mouth, neckline. Which is a feature that varies from jacket to jacket.

For now don't worry about it, apparently the returns policy is good.

these are the tech specs from the website tell me if you find where it says its insulated...all i see is meium weight liner..

Just because it doesn't automatically mean that it's insulated if it has a medium weight liner doesn't mean that it can't be insulated

my bad. first drop must be wrong too

yes it is an insulated shell, but there is also lots of vents if you need to cool down.

ya my pants are soo warm........unbalivabully wamr im nto even kidding if they didnt have huge vents i would of probly died of exhoustion while hiking....

insulation to them is the liner. ill bet money on it. notice how it says medium weight liner for wormth and brethability and nothing else about warmth in features.

are the park gloves insulated? if its cold enough to need insulation in my coat.....how am i going to not get cold in my park gloves?

this is exactly my point. they make park gloves, which are rebranded mechanics gloves, and nobody expects anything from a park glove but soaking hands and that it will fall apart and be smell worse than a rotten asshole after little use. then it cost 3 dollars for them to make.

why not make good gloves that people (with brains) think will actually be practical and expect to be comfortable and dry in?

because they know kids will buy them based on looks. most kids who buy them (i hope) arent skiing anything but park on sunny warm days where you dont even really need gloves

I don't really see why you spend so much time in this thread when all you do is hate. It's a pretty simple concept, if you don't like the product/company don't buy the product. But until you have your facts straight you really should just stop posting. All you're doing is cluttering the thread with hate and false information.

Come ride a 200ft vertical hill and tell me what kind of gloves I need.

people with "brains" are able to empathize with other skiers that dont have the chance to ride deep pow everyday. we dont need to spend a whole lot glove wise or need 20k or whatever waterproofing outerwear. the "rebranded mechanics glove" as you say is fine. first drop is not the company for you, then get some Hestra that costs a whole lot more and would be utterly a waste of money for me.
My hands are never "soaking wet"

you should look into kinko gloves too. 8 dollars. insulated (fo reals), full pig skin. how could the first drop paper gloves be worth 4.5 times more than a fully insulated pigskin glove? why cant a 'core' ski company make us a glove like that rather than a cheap glove with %10000 markup?

I might take a look at those thanks, I see where you're coming from. In general you only buy something based on it's functionality, while I like to support a small and upcoming company that actually cares about skiing. I mean First Drop is just a bit over a year old now, give them some time to figure things out. First Drop obviously doesn't have much experience making gloves, I don't expect much quality from them anyways. It's just a matter of time for them to start making something of higher quality. I havent seen the gloves in person yet, but I'll purchase some since their quality/functionality meets my standards.
Kinco is not involved in the skiing industry seeing I've never even heard of them.

Hey NSers, we appreciate the drive to remove a lot of the negatively from Newschoolers as a whole, it's too bad some people are consumed with hate and ill will, I guess some people are just not happy in their lives.

As far as the gloves go, they are actually really good. The factory is the same one that makes most of Burton's pipe gloves. So yes, you are correct- we may not know much about making pipe/park gloves, but our factory does. If you have doubts, just wait for some friends to get them and wait to hear what they say about them. Better hope there are some left though!

Yes we are only a year old, but we will continue to strive to improve our products year after year and offer the highest quality gear at affordable prices, that's the whole business model.
