I'm a supporter for Ajax, the Dutch team in which Suarez plays and for whom he scored like 50 times this year and I think he is a disgrace.

He dived and made fouls everywhere, but the way he blocked that 100% goal was one of the worst displays in football ever, and then his cheering when guayn missed...If I was a player on his team I couldn't even cheer, this is winning by cheating.

Atleast in Hockey you can get a forced goal if someone blocks a goal with a foul.

Suarez has shown his true face and he can be glad he doesn't have to play against the Netherlands.

a hero for stepping up? so because someone hand balled a shot, and this guy was lucky enough to get this chance to win, hes a hero?

thats bullshit. his life is soccer. if it were me getting put up there, then yeah thats a big deal. but this guy plays soccer, hes on the team for a reason. plus he just played 125 minutes in front of 90k fans. he can take one shot.... at least get it on goal

That really sucks, they would have won if not for the handball. Gotta wonder if it was on purpose, since it was pretty much going in unless that happened. Then at least Ghana had a chance of missing, which they did. All part of the strategy... Still such and exciting game, and a terrible way to leave the tournament.

Terrible display of sportsmanship at the World Cup today, the Suarez handball was disgraceful and blatant cheating. I didn't like how the Dutch were playing for fouls either.

man I wish all of u could experience how intense we follow soccer during world championships and euro championships. It really is insane. I watched it with 1500 other people going totally insane. The 1-1 goal was probably the most intense experience I had the last year. WOW. JUST WOW.

once holland started playing with wingers van persie was useless, they should use huntelaar way more cause he is a true striker always in front of the goal which works much better in the current strategy...

The dutch have always played with wingers...

But, Van Persie has been brilliant on occasion... He really was asleep this game... I do like Huntelaar a bit more anyway though...

the first game kuyt played as a striker together with van persie as two "kind of" center forwards, instead of on the left and robben on the right. U saw it when elia was brought in the first time that he really shined because they were using the space on the flanks. Whiich is great because that has always been one of the strengths of the dutch team (remember the glory days of overmars and zenden back in 98?!) but van persie doesn' t do well in that kind of system. which is why huntelaar would be a much much better choice.

Wingers are Robben and Kuyt. Midfielders that get out wide of the box and either try to swing it in, or get it to van persie behind the defense to score - or who can push up and be auxilary attackers when needed (which seems like always with the dutch)

But yep. I hope Van Persie steps it up to his true potential soon. He hasn't exactly been stellar so far this world cup.
