Top 5 most creative people in skiing.

soo with the multiple directions that skiing is heading I thought it would be interesting to get people to List there top 5 creative skiers in the game.

Please give a reason for each

1) Garrett Russel

Ive known garrett since I was 15 , he once told me he wanted to be the Del of skiing.

I think he truley is the most crative stoked person to ever step on skis.

2) Candide Thovex

Just casue ever segment ive ever seen from Rastafaride 1 to french toast to the Candide kamera 1 and 2 are just the most mind blowing ski segments ever created.. if they were all put into one edit i think my brain would explode.

3) Max Hill

Dont know the kid havent seen that much shit of his.. but his style is fukin insane..and he is very original..

4) Lolo Fauvre

Amazing style sickest Grabs... doesnt conform to any ones stuff just does his own thing..

5) Eric pollard

Just simply my fav skier of all time.. best style .. amazing skills and the bc stuff he does blows my mind..

Honourable mention to Chris Turpin.. hes amazing and my 6th,..  his hand plants are epic..

Also Tim durtshi.. VERY SICK!  that 5050, log ride to hand grab 540 out in EDIAS soo sick and that rope swing thing in his edit..awesome..

there are a lot of factors here to consider
are we talking creative as in creativity of tricks? creativity of style? or are you goin more towards creativity in the form of innovation?
there are a ton of creative skiers that could top the list depending on what criteria you have

Not sure why only one person has mentioned Vanular, but he would definitely be on my list.

Pretty much everything cool in park skiing and some aspects of BC jibbing have been influenced by him.

MMM so underslides arent progressive? the back side 270 out to lip onto the next rail wasnt progressive? I have to say i completely disagree with you.

McConkey for obvious reasons.

Pep Fujas because he changed movie segments after sessions 1242

Pollard cause he was doing insane backcountry tricks since yearbook and before

Candide cause he still hits bigger backcountry kickers then anyone.

my list would be:

Shane: simply because he has shaped and influenced the sport more than any other skier...

Garret russel: he has so much fun and is so creative in his skiing, it's a pleasure to see and listen to him skiing...

Pollard: His skiing is where i think future skiing should evolve towards.... Huge laid out rotations and flips with an appropriate amount of steeze...

Candide: How often do you have people asking: "Has that been done yet"? and you reply with one of candy's vids from like 5 years back?

Mike Wilson: is that guy still alive? cause the shit he hucks is just insane!

Charlie Ager does some pretty creative stuff in EDIAS. Also, a lot of the names that keep coming up aren't skiers in the comp scene- I was thinking Casabon because he adds a very different dimension to the slopestyle comps with his style. His surface switch ups are nuts too.

i dont think anyone can successfully create a top 5 or even a top 10 list of skiers in any category anymore. theres just too many skiers now. no matter how perfect your list is you will always forget someone. i think andy parry definitely deserves a spot in there as well as mcconkey.

1) Eric Pollard, for making switch pow what it is today

2) Seth Morrison, for showing us just how burly and large people can take AK cliffs

3) Candide Thovex, for changing the definition of park steeze and taking things massive (as in that hip he went straight over and the creation of big burtha)

4) Andy Parry, for just being jib hyphy

and 5) Bobby Brown for just pushing the sport (i mean come on, switch dub mistys and triple flats, who the fuck does that?)

I forgot to add, Tom Mackay. I'll bet most of you will never know this guy but he was doing pretzels before Vanular or any other profesh skier. That's like 5+ years, too bad he didn't stick with it, probably would have gone pro.
