Well story goes like this. I got my SPKs this season. Around halfway through the ski season the string for the liner had its top coating of string come off. They were still useable so I just said ok whatever. The today, on my other boot, the string absolutely snapped in half up near the tab to tighten the liner. I tied them and am still using them but im wondering if this has happened to any other NSers. I also would like to know if they are still under warranty if i got them around i'd say december 10-12.
Same thing happened to me. I just took the strings off and didn't notice too much of a difference. I Recently purchased new boots and am using my SPK's as my summer setup/urban boots so not having the string doesn't really affect anything. I would recomend talking to Salomon and seeing what they can offer you. Mine happened after riding them for 3 years.
contact salomon and ask for a new one.
they might make you buy it, but it shouldn't be too much.
or you can steal them out of a different pair of liners that have cord in them. that's what i did.
