On of the the only valid reasons to have a mac is for final cut.

People who use PC's to edit know that Premiere + After effects can be more powerful than Final Cut

PC, all the way

Yeah, macs are pretty, but they are just computers like anything else (EXPENSIVE, trendy computers). Ive spent PLENTY of time on various ones, and never liked them.

My 800 dollar desktop will smoke ANY mac except a tricked out Mac pro, which, for that price i could buy a nice car. For real, anyone bitching about virus's, crashing, wtf? i NEVER have any issues with mine and its already a year old, and still performs flawlessly, and it gets run all day long doing intensive 3d modeling and rendering. Ive actually had way more instances of crashing and weird behavior on Macs, not PCs.

I really dont care what kind of computer people buy, but for me, my money goes to performance, not a pretty shell and a talked up OS. Besides, Steve Jobs is a pretentious dick.

Once Google gets on board though, im definitely interested in Chrome OS. way better company than MS and Apple

i dont game, or write computer code, or try to hack shit so i just use a mac. i think its worth the extra money because you dont have to hassel with it, my old pcs used to crash all the time. not a huge deal but its better just not dealing with it

First, PC stands for personal computer, something that Macs most certainly are, so fuck you guys.

I use a mac but I boot Windows 7 and ubuntu on it.

I'm on 3 differnt PC's right now. You know why? Because 1 has all my music on it, but it can only run 1 program at once, because its such a piece of shit... so its a music only PC. The other is a netbook. It works. And it has a camera. But it still doesnt run Newschoolers.com effectively, or play DVD's... so... i have a 3rd computer... a laptop.. which is great, plays DVD's and stuff,but is the only one without a webcam. so no skyping.

3 PC's. None of them work the way they are supposed to.



Solution? Get a mac.

PC. Three reasons why Macs fucking piss me off. 1- expanding and minimizing windows, doesn't work at all. 2- the icon bar functions terribly. 3. the way programs like photoshop are operated is annoying. I probably sound like a whiny bitch but it's the little things that I can't stand. although macs are less virus-prone, are more fun, and look sexy.

Im going to go ahead and copy/paste what i said in a somewhat similar thread, slightly modified. And im going to preface it by saying i am very good with computers("PC"s. even though Macs are PCs).

The whole argument is incredibly stupid. It isnt about which system has BETTER programs and shit like that. Its all opinion. For example, one person might prefer Final Cut to a program you cold use on windows, and another just the opposite. Neither person is wrong. I dont understand why PC users often feel the need to point out the "flawed logic" of mac users. Its just what they like to use, end of story. And perhaps they have decided that they like Macs enough compared to PCs that they are willing to pay a premium. Perhaps they place a greater value on simplicity than on power, or just prefer OSX, and thus dont mind the fact that they are paying more for less power. Same with mac users, some people just prefer PCs and dont feel the need to pay extra for a mac, and would in fact prefer not to. end of story.

I just bought a Core i7 Macbook Pro. I did so because i prefer a lot of the programs that Mac has to offer to those on PC for things related to music especially, but also photo/video editing, and other such things. That being said, i will still have a powerful PC that i pretty much put together my self for other things like gaming that macs are necessarily up to my standards for.

I have a Mac. I like my life. I really don't care how awesome and low priced and how much power your PC has. I utilize more than enough of the features you can rock on a Mac that half the Mac owning population doesn't know about. It's great thanks.

"If you are sure that you are sure, then click the "i'm sure" button"
