My Theory of the World

We will eventually go to mars and try to form organic life on it. eventually we will see progress in the life forms that are forming on the planet and evolution will begin to take place. while this is happen something will happen to Earth and it will no longer be able host any life killing every living thing on the planet. Earth will eventually become a desolate planet in space and eventually The people on Mars will discover that there was once life on Earth so they try to farm organic life and the process repeats itself.
Basically we are just a vessel in time and space and we keep creating our own life and our's becomes destroyed along with all the records of the creations.

man thats fucked up..i had a dream pretty much exactly like that. except instead of mars it was the moon and it was kinda like chronicles of riddick, and we had to fight off mutated animals that survived the earths destruction. hmm

but yeah, good theory

no, because we wouldn't put live people on there, it would be an evolution from bacteria, like the theory of how human life was created

Why would we start life there and watch it evolve when we could just colonize it and live there ourselves once the planet is teraformed and able to support human life unaided?

the people wont have to discover there was life on earth they will definitely know especially as technology improves by that time they will have a record of what happened every second of every day i mean if we knew about the dinosaurs and all that shit now they will definitely know about us but other than that the plan sounds pretty believable.

My theory of the world is that one day some NS'er will sit at home and smoke a fat blunt, then look down to find its all smoked up. As he sobers, he'll walk to the corner and buy another dime, roll it into a blunt, light it up, and the process will start alll over again

maybe yes and maybe no. maybe there is some sort of alien people whose IQs are like 10,000,000 or so. i think they wouldnt consider hybrid cars and iPads "major achievements".

seriously, we will maybe never find out, but with all respect, its hard to believe that there arent 1,000,000,000,000 alien races out there to whom we appear like jellyfish do to us.

Jellyfish to scientists are a very interesting species. In fact the underwater population is where the majority of our species are, and probably where foreign creatures would think the most diverse species are.

Regardless of the insignificance of humanity relative to the size of the universe, it is fucking retarded to say that we haven't achieved anything amazing or important. In your lifetime, this planet, and its inhabitants, is all you will ever know.
You have absolutely no fucking idea about any alien race or how advanced they are. It is entirely speculative. To shrug of the achievements of mankind simply because there could be some smarter aliens out there is incredibly stupid.

hey ohmybosh, cool down. yes, we have achieved good stuff. interplanetary travel, communication technology, blablabla. but then again, the history of mankind is also a history of wars, of hate, social disparity and of religious dogmas which threw progression back.

so idk how you guys are so strong about defending "us", when we didnt even live up to OUR OWN potential and consistently fuck things up?



i understand what you guys mean, and i think its only human to think of ourselves as something "great", but imo this is only rooted in all these kosmologies (christian/judaic, hindu, etc) which say that our earth was build by the hand of a god. and since i dont give a single fuck about those thingys, i am entitled to my opinion that we are so incredibly unimportant that its almost funny (and i know how educated you actually are, ohmybosh, so you wont dispute that the sheer amount of galaxies with corresponding stars and corresponding planets is mindblowing)

All i am trying to say is that you can't simply brush aside all the achievements of humanity simply because there could be some aliens out there better than us. Everything is relative...
There could be aliens out there who are a million times more advanced than us, and everything they have done would probably still be completely insignificant in relation to the rest of the universe.


We're only here for 80 years or so, and those 80 years are pretty important seeing as its all we've got.

Of course it is always good to take a step back and look at some things from a different perspective, and images like this:

I am not saying humanity is the greatest thing ever or anything like that, all i am saying is that this planet and its population is all you will ever know, so it is the only thing that actually matters. It is pretty damn important to everyone.
