Canada's Joss Edit=Horrendous.

Canada's videography may have been good, but the entire 10min edit only consisted of TJ Schiller double flipping. Everything was TJ and they had all of 2sec of urban shots. Good to know the entire 4 or so days that it was raining there Canada sat on their asses while everyone else was shooting urban. Not to mention the Canadian folk music was boring as fuck.

I really wanted to see more Dorey, but it sucks that he was injured. Canada had a good theme, but I like team NS the best I think. Plus urban really is fun to watch, I enjoy watching urban from people who do not usually do urban (Andreas).

I disagree, as this is an opinion. First of all, I thought the music was awesome and totally fit the vibe of it all. I'd say I had the most fun watching it out of all the edits if that makes any sense. I just got really stoked off it. The mocarina at the end was hilarious too. I did notice that they focused on like one skier though.

one of the big arguements people missed was team NS's creativity. all the Pro-Canada people praise Canada for their originality and "vibe." but I thought team NS had an equally creative edit, with everyone walking through the dark room littered with ski gear, and then ending up at filming locations. and their coreography on those up-flat-down rails, with the wall jib in the middle, was the best shot of all the edits (an iconic instant classic). so in my eyes, NS had an equally original edit, with a much higher calibur of skiing.

CLIFF NOTES:

NS was just as creative as Canada, plus team NS killed it... Hard!

ya right side dubs from lj suck dick... YOUR IGNORANT AS SHIT.  if anything canadas jumps were medicore at best.. ns did the same tricks with alot more style and canadas dubs just looked hucked.  i suggest rewatching team ns and then keep your mouth shut. dumbass.

personally I say fuck joss the edits were all beat as fuck and I didn't enjoy watching any of them. Last years team americas was all right but I feel team Norway should have won this year. But liked the fact that team Canada enjoyed themselves while being there and showed that in their edit. Plus chugg and tj are the shit, skiing is about having fun and those guys have fun. But skiing wise team Canada should not have won and I understand why other teams may have been upset with it. Also with such a big event like joss i would think the teams would be notified on how they were going to be judged and the fact that they weren't seems a little odd to me? Plus the three way tie at the end and how they determined the winner, kinda bullshit so overall I feel Joss is some gay shit

It looked to me like the filmers worked really hard while the skiers just sat around and did nothing there was no urban and barely any jump shots.

well obviously not because they werent skiing on the rainy days when everyone else was. Also why do people think when music in an edit isnt rap or electronic that there having more fun. ITS A FUCKING SONG TO A EDIT people ski to have fun and if not i dont know what your doing.......sorry for freaking out im sick of people hating on edits "that arent fun" because of a song

this is pointless but I'll just put my opinion out here anyway..

I didn't enjoy the skiing, I didn't think it was funny ( I was especially let down by the pan after all the hype it received, and I was more offended than entertained by chug's refusal to do any urban). I didn't like how choppy the editing was. I wasn't a big fan of the song (and to everyone saying OoH buT 1t w@snT teh t3chn0 or teH r@p!1!!, NS didn't use a rap or techno either). I didn't enjoy how there were no rails, at all or any sick team shots that are just so simply epic (like the on in ns's edit which made me actually moan out loud). If they are SUCH good friends then why couldn't they all get together for a team shot?... all in all I am disappointed with the edit and I commiserate with the other teams who feel they were shortchanged.

im not gonna lie, i dont think it was better than team norway, or sweden. canada really didnt get enough urban, and although the music was unique... it didnt work at all. but it was pretty funny

Definitely an amazing edit, but did it deserve to win joss? I don't think so.

Team NS seamed to have the most well rounded edit...jumps, urban, and overall creativity in both skiing and filming (Steen and Duncan murdered it).

You clearly don't watch PBP movies because EVERY year Andreas gets crazy urban shots. He is probably top 5 urban skiers out there, definitely top 10.

Man, this is getting ridiculous. I cant believe kids are hating on Team Canada. I enjoyed watching that more than any of the other edits. The music fit perfectly, it had a killer vibe throughout the whole thing, the skiing was ridiculous, and they made it look like such a good time. Team Canada deserves the win by far. GO CANADA.


And I just downloaded one of Elliott Brood's albums (the music from the video) and it is very very very good.

I see what you are saying, but I think that the judging was based on which was "the most fun" and Canada definitely gets that award, on the other hand. Team NS and DU's skiing was top notch and they both had some pretty cool themes, bottom line, I think it should've gone
1. Team NS
2. Team Canada
3. DU & Norway
4. Sweden & America
5. Europe
Forgetting anyone?

I also personally am a bit dissapointed by the edits, I know I will get hate for this but I was expecting to see TJ and Henrick throw some sweet dub 16's and maybe even a triple, I realize that the jumps are scary to try shit off of, but still last year Henrick had a 16 in his edit. Why not this year? But don't get me wrong, these edits were frickin' crazy and some sweet skiing went down.

So much hate going on right! Is everyone oblivious to the fact that these skiers/filmers had to put together a full ski segment in a matter of days? You started from nothing and got this.. ya some of the edits weren't up to par, but seriously look at the time frame these guys had... I like Canada's whole concept with a funny edit, and dope skiing. Especially Dorey who is known for pipe! I personally think if it was based on filming/edit it shoulda been 1. Canada 2. America 3. Down Under.

It's all personal opinion so everyone is gonna have their two cents about it. Its over! And look at what they came out with..

personally i loved canada's vid and totally support their win...

BUT, regardless, lets stop all the hate, JOSS is an amazing event and we should all be stoked that we have such a cool event in our sport. Of course there is going to be controversy with any competition, but lets just all let it go and just be stoked on getting to see so many dope edits!
