Bunk alcohol.

Has anybody ever run into anything that you just couldn't get drunk off? First sometimes I have those nights where I can keep drinking and never get that fucked up, sometimes get wasted quick. I know it depends a lot on food and if you drank the night before and so on. nut

Me and my friend bought a bottle of vikingford vodka or something like that. Granted I ate a big pork chop, some stuffing, a roast beef sub and fries for lunch. I had a couple drinks at the bar while we were eating lunch. We started drinking the bottle around 7 ish. We weren't drinking that fast as we weren't trying to turn into vodka monsters, we just wanted something other than beer for a change. Was still there drinking at 3 trying to get a buzz. There were about 5 shots worth left for each of us when I left. I drank about half when I got home. But we basically killed the bottle between two of us and neither of us even felt buzzed. I had a head change and was thinking all the sudden it would hit me and I'd be wasted, but I never got a buzz. The bottle was 80 proof. And my friend was saying the same thing as me. I was clear headed basically completely sober. It was retarded. Maybe the fact that we were mixing drinks with mountain dew did something? Going with beer the next time

Anybody else ever run into anything like this. Or was this just some random event?

Spark notes, vikingford vodka, is it bunk? Any other bunk liquor anybody come across ever?

this happens to me with beer & cheap liquor. i can drink millions of beers and not feel anything, but some nights i can drink 3 and have a nice buzz cooking already. and cheap liquor just makes me have a horrible headache right off the bat and no drunken fun.

Idk dude. It was a pretty big bottle. Aren't there like 35 -40 shots in the large bottles? And I had almost2 shots worth left. but I had a buzz on when I started on the vodka, and felt more sober after. And I hate math.

But I should have been feeling something.

there's more a 1.75 lt bottle is half a gallon so 64oz. a shot is atleast 1 oz so there about 50-60 in bottle depending how liberal you are.

Word. I just call anything in a bottle a bottle. I drink beer for the most part. Other than mixed drinks at the bar. Liqour at the friends usually ends up with me wasted puking off someones deck

Yeah probably. At I a shit load of food. Usually those nights are with beer. Never had a night with liquor where I felt almost sober after. Sure i wasn't but I felt legit. Would have been shitty to get breathalyzed and get an aggravated

I didn't get messed up tonight but I felt more off 10 beers than I did last night. Def think it was the food, getting fucked up the night before, and one of those nights where you can't get drunk. Probably would have blown a high enough number to suck though.

Just one of those nights confirmed. I brought beer over to the same kids house tonight, he gave me the rest of the vodka, he didn't want it.

Only had 8 beers in in 3-4 hours there, Wasn't feeling it. Had a fucking buzz at least. Drank the vodka tonight and it did the trick.

It was not bunk apparently.

I and many others get drunk as shit on the reg, they still sell plenty of liquor and beer out here, just all the beer is about the same percentage of alcohol as keystone light (utah beer is 4% and keystone light is 4.2%).

first off, people haven't mentioned that the speed at which you consume the alcohol matters.  If you had 4 shots evenly spaced out within an hour, you would not get close to as drunk as if you took 4 shots right at the beginning.

Also you said you ate a lot which speeds up the rate your body can absorb and digest the alcohol.

Shitty vodka has more impurities than good vodka, meaning less alcohol/bottle but I don't think that makesa huge difference.

The real kicker, is I think you said you mixed it with Mtn. Dew?  Mtn Dew = a lot of caffiene, and when you drink alcohol and caffiene together you will feel less drunk than you actually are.

Certain types of medication can also make you feel less drunk (or more drunk) than you really are.

I live in a small town in the adirondacks called alcoholicaville. Everybody here drinks wayyyyyy too much. I think I'm already becomming one of the tribe. I need to leave aaaasoa.

and I ended up having like 4 or 5 shots left in the bottle. But tonight off 13 beers in 5 hours I feel like I'm getting drunk. God I feel like I'm heading for alcoholica. I need to move. Thank god I'm painting a few hours away for the summer and maybe the year. I'm a social drinker but social drinking borders alcoholicszaztion up here. fuck this place.

Yo, Quail, havent seen you around in a while but I also havent checked out the creek cult. Anyway, I think you need to scroll up and reread what was said because I'm PRETTY SURE someone went over the rates/hour and everything. Just read carefully man. And someone also went over the percentage of alcohol as long as it the same doesn't matter, cheap or poor.

Not sure if I buy into that. We drink a fuck ton in the navy and of course people have to be mucho and throw in shots of jager and shit. I can handle a shot of whiskey well but a few shots of jager mixed into beer, I'm fucked quick. Tequila, forget about it. I'm dancing with the Koreans girls like crazy.
I hardly ever black out though and have a hard time believing when people say they do.

I do have nights when I can have 3 or 4 beers and have a nice head buzz going and other nights I need atleast 8 or 9. I drink a lot of water though.

Also, if you are very hydrated, clear piss, there is less room in your bloodstream for alcohol or something along those lines. So if you wanna get fucked up fast chug vodka while your dehydrated on an empty stomach.
