so at noon after work I went to put some gas in my car ( 10$) and I forgot to pay. In my head , I was sure I did. So when i got home tonight after school. Cops were here with my dad. I was freaking out . They first told me I could keep silence and wait to have a lawyer and then I was like wtf what did I do. So yeah basically I got really scared but after they explained to me that the cashier told them I didnt look like someone that steals gas , they just told me to get at the gas station tomorow morning and pay him 10$ and they wont be charges against me!

I remember my uncles telling me he did that by accident to the same gas station he's been going to every morning for like 12 years and the cops greeted him when he got home for work. Just forgot to pay I guess. He paid the lady like 8 bucks the next day haha.

I t has nothing to do with driving, anybody can forget ! especially the day after 420! I dont care, I got away with no charges, Its a funny , scary story to tell

lol i wet to a gas station once and this 65 year old guy some rich professional type was bitchin out the the cashier like "the cops came to my house it was so embarrasing blah blah ur machine is not clear blah blah" and the cashier was like watever its the only way we can actually track you down what do u expect you were obviously not gunna get in rouble

You're not legally allowed to pump your own gas in NJ.  You would be hard pressed to get gas and not pay for it.

One time I sent my gf in to pay for gas, while she's in there the pump turns on and I start filling my tank. After a minute of filling it, the guy on the other side was like "WTF this pump isn't working." As he went back inside to complain my GF came out, and told me the cashier said the pump was already running. Turns out the cashier put the other dudes money towards my pump. I would have been straight up about it but I had already pumped more gas than I could pay for so I just left, and nothing happened. Thanks for the gas midnite stranger.

nope. granted its chicago. they basically tie everything down they dont want to get stolen. but yeah you either have to go inside and hand em cash to turn on the pump or put in your card.

What about in Montana where you go to school? There are tons of gas stations on I-90 that have gas stations that aren't pre pay because the place probably doesn't even take a credit card.

werd. We have a few stations that are open at night, and unmanned, that you put your card in first, but 99% are pump, then go in to pay.

And Im in minnesota too, and have never found a place that lets you pay after you pump. I mean they were here a few years ago, but not anymore

I guess Canada, or at least Ontario, is behind the times then... the pay-at-the-pump ones you pay beforehand, but if you're going in to pay with cash or whatnot, you pay afterwards. You just pump, walk in, pay, and leave. I have never been to a gas station where you CAN'T pump before you pay... granted, I always pay at the pump anyway esp when I have the speedpass.

yea i use my card sometimes. but majority or the time i pump it then go inside to pick up snacks and pay in cash. not before.

I lucky have never done this but i have walked out of resturants/ bars without signing the bill, the waiter/bartender runs after you and looks at you like you are a douche. I dont think i would forget about gas though

yeah in oregon you dont pump your own gas.. i hav beentold by idot attendts to leave and ive drove off with the pump in my car..   shitstorms insue insurance compaine is like its your fault. im like yo how i am liable for something i am not legaly alloewed to touch? there like you did not take it out f your car.. and then i ask . are you guys based iin california and there like yeah., and so i redederate my stance and get off with nothing.. and those fucking tweekers are allways loosing your gas caps!!!
