honestly, theres not much we can do. the vast majority of the public simply doesnt put the time or the effort in to care enough to actually change it. certainly you can try, but realistically, its just not going to happen.

Neither Obama or Mccain was a legitimate candidate, if by legitimate you mean somebody who will make a serious effort to change things for the better. Obama, bush, clinton, all similar on a bunch of issues. Sure there are differences in the issues the news focuses on but on a lot of stuff they aren't that different.

Increase control, trample the constitution, print money, increase the debt. Stuff like that. People voted for obama to bring troops home because they all hated bush for it, we're still sending people over there.

The truth is we aren't going to get a legitimate electable candidate. At this point paul probably won't be able to get elected, but why not try. the system is broke, and if we just keep continuing down the same path that's pretty retarded.

In reality we'll probably elect the same old, watch our economy continue down the tubes, watch freedoms slip away, stay involved in perpetual wars, just all kinds of fun stuff.

if they are all doing the same thing, why do they all have clear different results.

clinton had a pretty good sized surplus when he left office. that vanished under bush.

and no, people voted for obama to get troops out of iraq. at no point did he claim he was going to pull out of afghanistan.

you would probably like an 18 page research paper I wrote for undergrad called, "the patriot act and the culture of fear". so, yea I've heard of just a few of the things you bring up.
you are preaching to the choir, homeboy. I am aware of the flaws in the system. acutely aware.

def have some response to several points tho, but its gonna have to wait til tomorrow cuz its friday night and I've got some shit to get into haha

well seeing how you didn't know he was still planning to meet his deadline, then yeah i'd say you weren't keeping up on the news. anyone can do what you're doing and analyze politics... but to do it well and not sound like a jackass spewing out repetitive BS along with just plain BS, that's another story. by the way, ron paul is an idiot and wouldn't change shit. you have zero idea of how hard it is to create changes that large. it took what, 20-30 years for a slight reform in healthcare to happen? and we still got troops over in vietnam? open your eyes boy.
