it just records whatever sound comes out of your speakers. so if you can hear it you can save it.

ehhh nahh.... personally i wouldnt do that.... seems that quality wouldnt be tip top shape. Use Internet Download Manager. You can choose anything on a website to download... and its the actual file. Not any kind of recording.

quality wont suffer any more than whatever the site your streaming from has done to it.

The file you get will be the same quality I hear, and my recording will be a nice little file aswell recorded at the bitrate i choose based on whatever site im streaming from.

that thing does seem pretty legit though, but does it automatically download all pictures and everything? I don't need a bunch of space taken up with crap. Just browsed over the overview for it.

well it gives you the choice of what file you want to download from the site...

Actually quality suffers quite a bit. When I really can't find a song anywhere to download I record it with Audacity, and when I'm listening to my music I can always tell which one were obtained that way just with quality

then think about upgrading your sound card.
