knocked myself out two months ago which made it so i couldnt ski for two weeks, but luckily nothing serious.

did it twice this year. dec 1st was super not big deal was out for 1.5 months, skied til feb 23rd. now im done.

I broke it while at ussa Junior olympics.  I was just doing a switch 540 and i landed exept my right leg flew out into like splits position and my left knee droped inside then my femur snaped realy high, about a hands length from my hip bone. and my face hit my left boot and i ragdolled.  now i have a nice metal rod in my leg and im out for 3-5 months.

Not me but my friend, about a week ago broke his neck at two places. Luckily it went well, and he has to wear, aah this neck protecter(?) not sure what its called in english. but he has to wear this about three months until he can take it off. just like Pk hah!

fractured my cheek bone and orbital bone, resulting in surgery and a permanent metal plate in my face. done from doing extreme stuff this season but still got in a little filming

Damn! Thats a hell of a crash, my buddy broke the top of his femur off in his hip joint last year and had to get two surgeries but hes is back this season so i guess there is always next season to look forward too! Best of luck on the recovery!

I think I messed up my left knee, but not really bad. I was somewhere in Vermont called like bouton valley or something after checking out the school. Nice place, but at this hill they had a really wide up/cannon box that wasn't meant to be a cannon box. It was supposed to be an up box to a smooth, gentle landing but that part melted away and created what I'm calling the death zone. I was pretty much an up box to cliff drop. I basically carried a lot of speed off the barrel jib before it and overshoot the non existent landing and landed off balance. My ski started to go left while I was going straight but I picked it up off the ground, so it only jerked my knee instead or tearing it apart. Hopefully it gets better before this saturday, going to CO. It wasn't really swollen and I was able to ski down, so I'm thinking it's just a bad muscle pull.

You would know if your acl is messed up, no? My knee hurts from twisting motions but it didn't swell up to the size of melon and I can walk.

the only way to tell is to get an MRI scan, even the doctors cant tell by just looking. my acl, mcl, and meniscus are still torn and i can walk almost normal and its only been about a month since i tore it. However, twisting motions are one of the main things that hurt still. ya might wanna get it looked at so nothing goes unnoticed

I see some guys have seriuos injury. Mine was weird. I was supposed to do a sw 3 and get extra rotation by hitting tree in park, but i flew straight into that. I crashed really hard and firstly it seems like a huge bruise on my ass but than there was no sign on skin but it was like my bone was hurt. Went to the doc he said I'll be just fine and now it's like 1,5 month since crash and still evrytime I felt on skates for eg it hurts so much. I've got kind of X-ray next week, gonna find out what the problem really is.

Torn meniscus as well as micro-fractures, cartilage tear and bleeding at the end of my femur (yes, bones can bleed apparently). Had surgery yesterday and will be good to go for summer camp!

L5 & S1 herniated disks. I've done months of PT and had five cortisone injections to no avail. Now I'm on to experimental therapy since they won't operate until I'm full grown. Until then all I can do is more PT in an attempt to manage my pain. Shit sucks. Oh and this has been a problem since fall of 2008, so it's nothing new.

3 months not 5. get the rod out after next ski season. work hard, ski harder. bones heal real well. I hiked/skied 10 weeks after my break in the same spot... chilled for a couple weeks then had a killer season.

DO NOT wait any more than immediately after next season to get the rod out though.
