What is a good dog toy that he will play with for a while

My dog is very high energy and get really annoying when he is bored. So, my question is, what is a good toy for him to play with/chew on that he will play with for more than three minutes.
I used to give him bones, and that entertained him for a couple hours, but now they are making him sick.
Chew toys last like three minutes.
Kongs last about 5 minutes.
I want a toy to give him while I do my homework or nap. I don't mind playing with him when Im not busy, but I don't want him tearing up the house when I am busy.
Any suggestions???

we got my dog this "food cube" thing.  its like a big dice that you fill with dog food and he pushes it around the yard / house and a little bit of food falls out every so often.  its good for like 10-15 mins at least

this. depending on what kind of dog you have ( i have a lab and he will do anything for food ) they will love toys that they have to somehow dig food out of.

or ice cubes. i give my dog them but they kinda get old quick

I got one of these for my 100lb Japanese Akita that has a basketball size monkey fist knot in the middle and he plays with it forever. Only problem possibly is that the rope fibers will get torn out and be all over the floor. Maybe if you were to tell us the type of dog it is and size it will be easier.

Yeah I have seen these. I think Im going to try it. I think he will be able to destroy that. Ill put their unbreakable thing to a test. He tears the shit out of everything.

also 5 months isnt too bad for a Kong, those are quality toys
I suggest these-also get a hamster in a ball, my dog loved fucking around with my sisters hamster when it was running around for hours.

5 minutes with a Kong then everything out and he is bored of it. Not five months

no, you said they last him 5 minutes, also this is literallly just part of having a puppeh, mine bother me for hours and still does, and she is almost 3, it will get better, just be strong, be strong lol.

I have frozen chicken broth, peanut butter, cheese and water. It only takes him 5 minutes to get it all out, no matter the size or shape of it.

Also i had one more question, How often do you walk him? I found that with a daily mile or so walk it reduced the energy and attention need of my puppy alot, plus walking your dog isn't as bad as when you were a little kid and your parents made you do it haha

if you have wood floors, get a small frisbee, it slides around on the floor and they cant pick it up, hours of entertainedment

my dog loves these, they last maybe a week.

a tennis ball is good for about 2 hours with my dog.

the bad cuz is better, the horns make playing ball with the cuz much, much more fun.

In the post he was referring to you said 5 months, not 5 minutes. But this guy knows whats up with the walking. It tires them the fuck out. But if your trying to nap or do hmk I doubt you have time to walk him

I walk him every day that the snow isnt too deep on the sidewalk for me to walk on.
He is 7 months. I know it gets better. Im not asking for training tips or anything, I just want a toy he can be entertained with for an hour or so, so I can do my homework with out having to cage him since he is in his cage while Im in class during the day anyway. I like to minimize his cage time.

We got my dogs a horse toy. They used to destroy everything but this has lasted for almost a year, its basically just a rubber ball on a rope with a knot at each end. They cannot destroy it because there is no where to grip the ball itself. I am not sure exactly where we got it but try a horse stuff store.

yeah my dog fucks everything up but we got him one of these with some tennis balls tied into it, he loves it and cant fuck it up no matter how hard he tries. hes had it for a few months now with nothing wrong with it.

when my dog was like 10 weeks old she would tear through nylabones, absolutely shred them and then swallow the pieces and puke them up

we quickly got rid of the nylabones...
