My cousin had them back in the day:
They were like snowboard boots that came with 2 little flat black plastic pieces that connected to the bottom of the boots. Basically super-short snowblades. They broke constantly, so he returned them and became a snowboarder. Crazy seeing him go down a whole mountain with those pieces of shit on his feet though.
This was around the same time that snowblades came out. So it was snowblades vs. bigfoots vs. sled dogs. Good luck finding them. If you really want them, just screw two pieces of lexan to the bottom of a pair of snowboard boots. voila! You got yoself some sled dogs.
As schmies said, they blow.
But if you're determined to try em, HDPE or Lexan or any kind of slick plastic would work fine. I remember the plastic being black if you really wanna nail the knock-off. You can get all this shit at home depot.
Heat the plastic a blowtorch or maybe even a hairdryer/iron to get it hot enough to bend at each end. Then screw them, glue em, or strap em to your old boots. You probably wanna screw them in. I'd recommend a countersink so the screw doesn't slow you down on the groomers.
"bless da 40 oz"
They do look stupid as fuck. But i just want everyone to be like what the fuck how is that kid going down the hill? So ill try lexan cause i already have some but if anyone knows how to get HDPE or something else that will work better, and just let me know any ideas. Im down to try anything. I put up pics when finished for anyone curious. and good idea about the counter screwing.
