I think it's too simple right now, but if you added some effects to the outline of each of the diagonal stripes it would make them pop more. ( like blurring or a bright, maybe electric, outline.) also you could leave what you have unchanged and put a more intricate design over top.

i tweaked it a little
i think i like the idea of going simpler with the strips and overlay something, but i don't know what to overlay
