Griffon binding adjustment for new boots

So to start off, I'm not a shop guy at all, and I have no experience in adjusting bindings.

I bought a pair of skis mounted for a 310mm bsl and my boots have a 305mm bsl. Obviously taking them to a shop is the best idea, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to a shop in time for this weekend. I'm in residence without a car so travelling around is kinda tough.

So if I don't get to a shop in time what do you reccommend me do? I know that no matter what happens I'll be putting my knees at risk for the day. But is there any way to adjust the heelpiece for the right bsl and forward pressure without any past knowledge? Or would just leaving it and lowering the din a little be a better idea?

Yes I know this probably sounds like a really stupid question. Just trying to think of the options I have. I'll take full responsibility if something goes wrong, advice is all I need.

alright for marker bindings you want the screw to be flush inside off the binding if you have your old boot s you can look. first you move the binding foward until u think it is about correct and clip in the boot to see if it fits. keep moving the binding until the screw gets flush with it. Or u chould go to the service shop at the ski hill and get them to do it.

Leaving the BSL/forward pressure wrong and lowering the DIN is a recipe for a massive pre-release and an early end to your season. Get someone who knows what they're doing to look at it. Only takes 10 minutes. Stop at a shop on your way to the hill.

Ok yeah I'll try to stop off at a shop if possible, this was just in case I somehow couldn't. I still want to ski.

But how much would a shop charge for that? Is it the same as a binding mount or less?

Heeeeeaps less. A binding mount involves drilling and jigs and all sorts of fun and games. Adjusting for a slightly different BSL and sorting the forwards pressure and DIN is like 10 minutes work, tops.
