I recently found out that my first girlfriend is now dating a female.We broke up a little over a year ago, she didn't date anyone after I broke up with her. I just figured she was being a slut.

My dilema is now this:

Should I be proud that she is now a lesbian?
This girl loved me. She was completely infatuated with who I was, and just completely in love with me. When we dated I was 16 and she was 18. She expressed many times during our 9month relationship that she wanted to have sex with me. I denied her because of reasons which would be enough for an entirely different thread. I asked, a while after we had broken, up what she thought when I would said no to her. She told me she didn't think I loved her as much as I said I did, or as much as she love me, but she believed that if any two people should be having sex it should be us.

Am I just so damn desirable that no other male could compare. Like having sex on Ecstasy and never enjoying sex again. Or was I so horrible that she couldnt even stand to be with someone with a Y chromosome.

How should I look at this NS?

Besides, what other reasons do people abstain from sex? The idea of purity and waiting til marriage has its roots deep in a lot of fucked up religions and societies. You might think you're being noble but more than likely it's for some stupid reason that was embedded in you while you were a child or adolescent.

dude OP my buddy had the same thing happen to him and well that whole situation was messed up, and the lesbo thing didnt work out in the end. So now my buddy and her are pretty much back together.

I don't think someone can just decide to get gay real quick and just go with it...so I say the "being lesbo" thing is just a stint/phase or something.
