TSA Guy: Sir could you please take off your sweatshirt.

Me: [takes off sweatshirt and walks through metal detector]

TSA Guy: Son, who dressed you this morning?

Me: I did.......

TSA Guy: Was it dark?

Me: ......  :-(

Let me guess, you were dressed like this or something close to it right? Well, to be honest, skiers look like fucking douchebags when they are dressed like this outside of Whistler, Vail, and any other huge ski town... you just look like morons.

i agree, but with one exception. you are allowed to look as retarded as you want within 3 gas stations/ fast food joints of the nearest ski resort.

I love dressing like that on the hill, around the hill, before/after the hill but around town i try to take some time and effort into being presentable. You might think its cool to look rebelious and rad, but there will come a time in your life when looking sharp goes a long way...

I feel if you cant rep it off then slopes then dont wear it on the slope to begin with. 

And to jumiester(sp?)  anybody that judges me by how i dress before even meeting me isnt worth my time.  for the record, Im 26 and have a "real" job.

thats what i say too. if you wear tall t's and shit on the mountain but refuse to wear it in public then your technically your just following the trend. it doesnt mean you have to always be wearing 4 tall t's and your pants around your knees but you shouldnt be afraid to throw on a tall t and sag your jeans when you go out.

theres a proper time and place for everything... do you wear a suit and tie everywhere you go? do you wear a suit and tie to a wedding? skiings like a wedding, theres proper attire for it. instead of formal wear, its xxl everything

god everyone on here makes me so sick. we dont hate on other people for wearing "normal fitting" clothes just becuase we dont like how they look, its your own style so do whatever you like. i dont see how someones clothes can bother someone so much... you are pretty damn shallow if you are gonna pass judgment and put them in a different category because of their style.


and when people say things like "you wont be able to get a job, you dont look presentable, people will judge you, etc..." obviously we realize that from all the people like you that treat us different for no legit reasons, and we obviously still choose to dress the way we do because personally, i think that anybody who is going to judge me based on that isnt worth my time anyways, and i'll be better off just not even paying them any attention.

But honestly, it all comes down to when you dress like that. I mean, I wear tall tees and baggy clothes skiing and a lot in the winter, but I won't wear them when I go to work (landscaping/mowing) or need to be presentable.

It's all about timing.

What field are you in that casual attire is not acceptable?  I mean yeah you may have to wear a suit every once in a while but hoodies and jeans never go out of style.  There are plenty of jobs that dont require "proper dress"  Most engineers work on job sites and need to wear jeans and steel toed boots.  Hell look at Jimbo morgan, head of electric and doing big things for skiing.  I bet he makes 50,000+

i also think that it's different to wear some baggy clothes around with friends, or when traveling to be comfortable, than to wear 4xl tall tees to a job interview.

^ As someone who has interviewed multiple kids for jobs at a ski resort....yes. Kids show up wearing tall tees. 4xl jackets. Untied Nikes. Flat brim hats. And baggy pants.
