13 Year Old Beaten By 65 Year Old

That's right NS I was beaten by 65 year old man...

Here is how it went down, Me and a couple of friends from whistler BC were riding down whisky jack going a bit to fast to get over the cat track at the bottom of the run. We got to the top of the second run and this man approached me screaming yelling im out of control and I mur mur'd im sorry jeeze, and then his wife started screaming at me and I just said "Deal with it' and started to ski away. I look behind me, to see whose chasing me, its the 65 year old. I try to turn uphill to get away from his and he blocks me wraps his ski around me and starts beating me with his fist and poles (literally beating me). Im screaming at him telling him to fuck off and he does not stop. Eventually he stoped and as he is skiing away he smiles and laughs. So hes not getting away with this I chase him down to the bottom of the chair and tell the lifty's to not let him off at the end of the chair. Patrol stops him at the top and ask's me and two wittnesses ( My friends) to take the chair up and talk to them. So we tell them what all went down and of course we are 13 & 14 so they do not belive us. After finally get out of the patrol office and im in tears cause I got accused of swearing at the wife multipul times wich never happend. Today im going in for a meeting with the head of mountain saftey, I might get my pass suspended I dont know why (Apperntly I was skiing to fast) Whatever.

And being 13 it naturally is appropriate to say "Deal with it" when someone has a legit issue with how you were skiing. You will learn over time that being polite and if someone thinks you did something wrong, especially on a mountain or public area, to just accept it and act like you realize you did do something wrong because you will most likely never see them again.

Basically I am saying, re-think your attitude when dealing with people.

That's fucked up. Even though you're 13 and said deal with it, that's no excuse for that guy to beat you. It's fucked up that adults take another adults word over a kids just on principle.

i'm not denying that violence isn't okay, that is definitely not a stance i ever take. but clearly none of us were there and he could be a really sweet 13 year old, but you know, the kid disrespected his wife, after not being a man about what he did wrong. when this guy was 13 he probably got slapped if he acted the same way, and i think, generally, that type of respect is missing in the world. i don't think we should control people with fear, but there's a fine line between accident and inconsiderate, and i generalize clearly when i say i think all tweens and young teens are inconsiderate and not accidental.

It is flawed cause even OP said he was skiing rather fast for the area of Whistler, and knowing that area skiing fast is bad cause of how crowded it can get. It isn't like the guy got pissed for no reason and went on a rampage. OP mouthed off to him. Beating up the OP was out of line too but all this could have been avoided.

Honestly, I see the old couple much more at fault than the kid. Screaming at someone is not the right way to get the message through to them. It puts them into a defensive position and essentially ruins all prospects of a diplomatic solution. He said he was sorry (somewhat disrespectfully) and continued to get yelled at. What is he supposed to do? Keep saying sorry? I've accidentally cut people off. Then immediately and apologize because I am genuinely sorry, only to have that person yell at me and tell me how I should be sorry and more careful. I can't stand those types of people. I'm surprised that they haven't run into a tree yet because their heads are so far up their asses.

only a gaper would handle that situation like that, no experienced skier who saw kids skiing to fast would go up to them screaming then assault them after they were SLIGHTLY rude. who fucking knows the , the OP is only 13 so maybe he is bullshitting us all, maybe he told the old man to go fuck his face

no, the whole issue is that tween and teens think they own the world and people let them do it. they're rude and don't get up for older people or pregnant women on the buses, and they're always screaming on the bus and pushing people with their bags, and are rude as fuck when they bump into you and shit. and the hill is the same. i fucking suck at riding pretty much by standards im sure, but i love doing it and the last thing i need is some punk ass cutting me off all the time or pushing his friends into me and all other shit that happens. if you see an old couple, even if theyre gapers or vintage pros, maybe you should have a little more hill respect and not cut them off or freak them out.

Okay, ya'll are missing the point: OP may be a whiny and immature bitch, but the 65-year-old PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED HIM for skiing fast and giving him lip. Just because he said "deal with it" doesn't mean he deserves to have his face caved in by some stranger on the hill.

The old man was obviously in the wrong on this one.

You're so fucking dumb. If you actually look around you'll see that the majority of teens aren't like that, it's just that the ones you notice and remember are the disrespectful, obnoxious ones. I'm sorry that I don't try to make sure that everyone on the mountain feels comfortable skiing near me. I get uncomfortable skiing near gapers because they turn so irregularly and cut me off. I'm a good skier and am in control even when I'm going fast. All the people at the mountain who know me understand that I am a strong enough skier to go fast. Most of the time kids cut you off or push their friends into you, they aren't trying to. Whenever adults yell at me and my bro I yell back at them. If they want my respect they have to earn it. When adults are respectful to me and ask me to slow down I'm very respectful and comply with their request. I can't stand the fucking hypocrisy of people yelling at you and then yell at you to be more respectful. You need to understand the every generation of teens pisses off the adults.

Just because you're older than me does not make you more mature or more qualified to tell me what to do. I can play the generalization game to. One time some guy took my bros poles for his daughter. My bro talked to him and he yelled at my bro. I have never wanted to punch someone more than that time. I had my bro point him out to me and I flipped shit at him. He tried to turn it around and make it sound like my bro was in the wrong for taking his poles back.

I fucking hate it when people are like that.

wow some people are assholes in this thread...true he shouldnt have mouthed off to the man...but really, who on here hasnt gone fast and been a little reckless...it seems like its both peoples fault...one the OP was going too fast and maybe being reckless granted the surroundings...two the man shouldnt have snapped and started kicking a kids ass...itd be a little better if the kid had been 20 or something and coulda stood up for himself but the kids FUCKIN 13...some of you guys are total ass' with your logic

the kid did nothing wrong, so what if he was slightly rude to the old man, ive had so many old people yell at me over the years for bullshit stuff like skiing slightly faster than most people are,  and judging by the old mans huge lack of maturity, im guessing he's just another old fuck thinking he's the king of the mountain cause he's old, and everyone should respect him and go the same slow ass speed as him. 

the old guy was the one that first came up to him with an attitude, along with his wife. the kid told him to deal with it, and he beats the shit out of him, i dont see how the old man did anything right at all. and i dont see how the kid did anything wrong, he responded with an equal attitude and the old man flipped shit. 
and your telling the kid to grow up? he handled it way more maturely, its the old man being an immature prick and acting like a 12 year old.

my advice is to call the cops, usually in situations like this even if its a 65 year old beating up a 13 year old, i would never say call the cops, just cause shit like this happens and the law doesnt need to be involved for every fight.  but since the old man is being a huge immature dick about it, and your the one getting in trouble and maybe loosing your pass, just call the cops, im guessing they will treat you much more equal than the resort people are. and you have wittnesses. and you can either get the old man fucked, or not press charges as long as you dont get your pass taken away and get his taken or something.
just dont bitch up and let the whole thing turn against you, i know so many people who have been in situations like this where they bitched up, and let everything turn against them and they ended up getting screwed.

When i was at Taco bell with my friends this fall, one of my friends was moving our skateboards somewhere we could see them, and then another who is really nice and polite, was a little, out of it, and he just wandered outside to help the other person, but he didn't realize that he walked infront of an older man, i'd say, 70, and then the man said to him, "Oh im sorry i didn't see you there", so my friend apologized, and the man called him "an impolite little shit", i know it doesn't sound like much, but stuff like this just blows you away, how people Do things like that to total strangers, Now if it was me, i probably wouldn't have let the guy walk away without saying something back, but thats just Me.

i think it really all depends on how you were skiing, if you really were being a douche then you didnt have the right to say deal with it and the guy might have had the right to do something (not physically assault you though), but if you really werent skiing like an asshole then you probably had the right to say deal with it to some schmuck yelling at you for nothing and he should have never touched you, either way the guy is a douche for punching you
