911 (nine hundred eleven) is the number following 910 and preceding 912.

It is a prime number, a Sophie Germain prime and the sum of three consecutive primes (293 + 307 + 311). It is an Eisenstein prime with no imaginary part and real part of the form 3n − 1. Since 913 is a semiprime, 911 is a Chen prime. It is also a centered decagonal number.

As "911" or "9/11", typically pronounced "nine-eleven", it is commonly used to refer the calendar dates November 9 or September 11, depending on which date notation is used. The latter usage most commonly refers to the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.

There were 911 days between the September 11, 2001 attacks and the March 11, 2004 Madrid train bombings, but counterterrorism experts disagree as to whether the date was chosen for that reason.

Many of you really need to chill about this. I realize probably over half this site is under the age of 16, which would make you all like 7 or 8 when 9/11 happened but its not a joke, really. I'm 22 and i know there are a lot of people who are my age and older on here too but I cant imagine that those people making light hearted jokes about it were not very young when it happened. I was only in 9th grade but our family knew 3 or 4 people who were killed on that day. My cousin (who is three years older) and I both joined the military as a result (hes in the navy, me in the army) and we both know soldiers who have been killed in Afghanistan. Please, at the very least just be respectful. I realize this isn't a political site or even a political forum on an apolitical site but the discussion about serious topics (especially one like this) becomes so immature it makes me sick. Time heals wounds but this is one of the most tragic days in American history. If you need a reminder, go to youtube and find one of the countless videos of innocent Americans jumping from 80+ floors. Its all real sobering and i cant believe some of the shit people say about it. Clearly, many of those people were not old or mature enought to comprehend the weight of 9/11 when it happened.

The whole story has not been told and will probably never be told. It is pretty frightening to imagine that it was anything more than a well planned out terrorist attack. I myself go back and forth on the issue of government involvement and in the end I just cant accept the governments version of events.

Among the "facts" that I can not accept is the story of a passenger uprising on flight 93. The plane was most certainly shot down, there is no question in my mind that this is what happened to United 93. There are countless more inconsistencies but there is a lot more to the story.

i agree some parts are probably "redacted" but I don't doubt the heroism of the passengers on flight 93. There are recordings of the flight. To dispute those, would not only be an insult to the families and friends of those who heroically took down the jihad fuckers, but would also open up a giant can of worms. If you don't believe in recordings, what do you believe in?


Keep in mind that this was the largest terrorist attack in history. It happened across so many state lines. America was so complacent during the 90's due to the end of the Cold War. There are inconsistencies in something as simple as delivering the mail. It took FEMA 5 days to get water to the Superdome (thank you Live free or die hard) Government is so bad at their jobs, how can you expect all those agencies to accurately detail the events of 9/11?

Furthermore, keep in mind how many people were victimized. The inconcsisntencies in peoples' stories are bound to happen when you have so many people involved. How many survivors? Probably 50,000. 349 firefighters died. 3,000 civilians died. If you find maybe 10 inconcisistencies, theyre just products of statistically bad memories.


I mean, go ask 10,000 people at attendance at say a football game and ask them to describe the last play. I bet 50% of them would describe it totally wrong. Given women's emotions, peoples terror, etc, how can you expect to have an inconsistency free story from everyone?

Lastly, like with all of these "conspiracy" theories, get your head out of your ass, drop your denial and your ignorant tunnel vision, and actually READ the rebuttal (Popular Mechanics has a good one).

Its really easy to be persuaded by provocative editing, shocking new perspectives, conspiracy music, and soundbytes if you're retarded. So sheild yourself from that kind of persuasion by being less retarded.

The inverse could be said about someone who accepts the official story with blind faith. I take the pussy side of the argument, which is where I usually stand, and just say both sides are wrong.

I am 99% sure 93 was shot down. Even Rumsfield said it was shot down. It is common fact with my buddies who went to the Air Force Academy, they say they know the pilot who pulled the trigger. Granted they are fighter pilots and 90% of what they say is BS but somehow they seam genuine on this topic. Can't say if I were the government I would do anything different. Telling the truth on this one would have been pretty detrimental especially if it came out that the passengers retook control before being shot down.
