so im gonna use some of my christmas cash to buy a netbook. i just want a tiny ass computer i can take to class and take notes on and write papers on. then i can run just the adobe suite on my macbook, and have 2 efficient computers.
wheres my best deal on a netbook? i dont know much about them. i figgure the day after christmas sales will be pretty good in a shitty economy. like i said, its basically gonna be the internet and microsoft word, nothing else.

i know you said all you want it for was internet and taking notes but i have to say even if that was all i wanted it for i would just get a regular computer. they're super slow, at least all the ones i have used are, and the screen is way to small and pretty useless. you can barely see what you're doing. if you really want one go for it but i wouldn't recommend it.

My sister has an HP mini, it's great. It hooks up wirelessly to every network it sees with no problems. It's fast, got 15 gigs of space. 1 gig of memory. Doesn't have microsoft office though, so if you want word, sorry. It's overall a nice comp. It's pretty fast. I think it's pretty good for what you're looking for.

You realize you can download Office from microsoft.com, right? You don't need a disc drive.
