Horrible Pain in Ear

Its 3:43 am right now and ive been awake for the past hour or so. i have horrible pain inside my right ear. all i hear out of it is a ringing noise that is very loud. its extremely painful and it woke me up from my sleep. i dont know what to do right now. anyone know whats causing this? what i can do? its really horrible right now. and from a scale in pain of 1-10. 1 being no pain. 10 being breaking leg in half, well its about a 7/8.

Sounds liked an inner ear infection dude. Get a dr appointment. Some vegetable oil in your ear may help it feel better for now though, as weird as it seems. You could give that a try.

like everyone else on this thread said(well most people) it is probably an ear infection and you should probably get it checked out as soon as possible. I wouldn't go swimming or anything for a while.

i would go call 911 what you have is an ear drum that is about to explode. happen to my i was in a lot of pain and then it burst worst pain in my life my doc said it's the 2nd worst pain a human can have.

it is one of two things:

1) ear infection, make an appointment with the doc, not much you can do

2) i get this alot cause i have bad sinuses.  just fluid that has built up pressure.  THe best way to alleviate the pressure is to apply something hot like to your ear.  get the faucet to run hot water and soak a wash cloth in it and press to your ear.  if you have a heating pad this will also help.  what you want to do is decrease the viscosity of the fluid by warming it and drinking lots of water. 



on a side not the worst pain, so im told is kidney stones.  my mom even said so and i had a BIG head as a baby...

Oh right i remeber hearing that before. I think my grandpa had passed one when we were at my cottage once. Gotta love a fourty minute boat ride the the nearest medical center while experiencing the worst pain of your life.
