Base grind w/ a bevel?

ok so my race skis got a little messed training for skiercross, they have a 1degree bevel on the base and 3 degrees on the side,
i was wondering if it is still possible to get a base grind or if that will mess up my edges?

you can base grind it, but you will have to re-do your edges, which shouldn't be a big deal.

thats what i was kind of thinking, it seems like that would kind of ware out the edges?

over time edges do get worn out, every time you sharpen them they get little bit thinner. Kinda like a pencil... but I wouldn't worry, it takes A LOT of tunes for edges to be weakened due to tuning... unless it's done wrong
