So I just realized that since I've been in residence, my parents have divorced, my mom moved to Nova Scotia for some reason, my friend took my cat to Toronto since they're not allowed in dorms and my dad has closed off half of my house and turned it into a basement suite to pay for the mortgage of paying off my mom.
So the house that I've lived in for my whole life is definitely not "home" any more, and I just realized this in time for what will probably be a pretty fucked up Christmas break. It's still my house but not home, you know? Like I've lived there for my whole life, and the year I move to a new city for uni the situation back where I'm from completely changed. Just really strange, and I think I'd rather stay in res to be honest.
Thought I'd post this because everyone else in res is stoked on going home and I don't really care other than the fact that I am going to be able to go skiing almost every day. Anyone else have similar situations?
This is probably a downer thread, so yeah. Sorry about that.
