i find that since my mtn is so small that i can go from top to bottom without turning, its kinda boring. and then when im going straight down its not even that fast so im just standing there with my poles at my side thinking about something else. it feels stupid

i love to carve as hard as i can so i'm always practicing my carving. I find it way to boring to just go strait down. If i'm not doing that i practice switch riding.

i feel that a lot, like im just standing there all stimp and don't know what to do with myself. but i see you're from grouse, isn't that a real mountain?? mine is the real deal, like 300 feet.......

yeah thats a bummer dude. honestly if my mountain wasnt big enough to have fun straightlining it, id either spend all day on jumps and rails or id pick up snowboarding so itd be harder (more fun)

that's how mine is no park 310ft of elevation I did the steepest trail there switch, and my race coach at the time bet me 10$ i couldn't do it. Lets just say I'm now 10$ richer BANK.

i turn haha, but i also go switch a lot, butter, and just mess around trying different things and seeing how my skis react and flex. doing things like nose butter 3 to landing in a manual(?) and then spinning around and doing stuff like that is a lot of fun.

Maybe try skiing something else than the cut??

Theres lotsa shit down the back of the peak i bet money you cant straightline.  And yeah get ready to get hated on by the midwest guys and east coasters, because 1500 ft or verticle literally in the suburbs of vancouver is nothing to complain about.

dude... new york has mountains. you may have one shitty hill, but at least you can travel a short ways and be somewhere legit. And if not NY, you've got NH and VT close by. The entire midwest is filled with HILLS with vertical ranging on average from 200-400. We don't have mountains anywhere near us, unless you count a 18 hour drive to Colorado....

So since its about posting mountain maps now heres the mountain i go to most 3000 foot vert. 3500 acres and a peak elevation of 9000 feet above sea level.

Yeah we usually have switch races at my 200 vertical feet home mountain when the park isn't open.. I really don't understand people who constantly come just to ride the regular runs, it's really boring.

if its turns you want, uh oh NS will hate me for this. buy a pair of slalom skis, not GS. slaloms turn radius will give you way more turns than the GS ski will. but if its park, not much turning going on ( as compared to normal downhill skiing of course)

Yeah I usually Have to turn, skiing stuff out at my mountain is usually really sketchy since there are usually rocks and sticks and stuff. No grooming on 90% of the mountain is the shit.
Turning in the park sucks though.

i feel dumb when i dont turn at the very least i do some GS turns.  practicing switch on blue cruisers is sweet except theres always some jackass who sees you from the lift and yells "HAY LOOK I CAN SKI BACKWARDS!!!!"
